Forget about the return
of the good old days at United, after that perfect run in its beginning, now it
is turning into sour grapes for its man at the helm Jose Mourinho. After losing
the edition of the always-disputed Manchester Derby, suddenly everything started
to crumble!
Three are the number
of loses that Manu has posted consecutively since the dark days of David Moyes
and for now the Van Gaal era is starting to look a bit prolific in comparison
to its present day colleague.
That is football my
friends, after Jose Mourinho once again made his new employer spend millions in
record transactions in the case of Paul Pogba- so far not showing his all-around
talent and mettle that made him the highest paid footballer in this transfers
market.
Also, one day you win
the other you are struggling for answers as for Mourinho, his Achilles heel
seen in its midfield and center backs, forget the past under Fergie and Sir
Busby, now is the present and the Portuguese left with lots of work.
After the loss at
Feyenoord by one mingy goal and then renewing league play and be defeated by a
modest but hardened Watford in the Hornets’ nest, it was seen as a total
turnaround from the early matches that United showed the return of its winning
ways.
As much state trouble
on the horizon, I doubt it, slumps happen and the need of many changes in this squad
initial eleven should be necessary, by betting on its youth in the case of Marcus
Rashford and Memphis Depay to others that can make an immediate impact in this
club game.
So far, the lineup utilized
by its current Boss since opening days, has gone with just one move in its
defensive backfield and the need of some moves in order to generate some competition
in its circle, -asap.
With a swearing statement
of defense win matches, this area should considered by Mourinho very seriously if,
he wants to stop this negative skid, on this weekend the United backfield along
its midfield performances we can stated poorly with just a 5 or a 4 grade.
After the loss at
Vicarage Road, all of the United players seem to be very concerned of what has
to come as if they are entering into a long and horrific slump, if solutions not
found in a speedy manner.
Very well the need of
getting some players considered as problematic or not pulling up their weight,
so far with Wayne Rooney not fulfilling his superstar starts and not performing
as expected despite being a bit influence and liked by his current Boss.
The dynamic that
inspires the backfield and gives Mou’s 4-3-2-1 formation an upgrade in this
parts whenever Daley Blind and Eric Bailly are paired together and remind us of
many duos past as the latest one in Nemanja Vidic and Rios Ferdinand!
On the other hand, Manchester
United is in need of another playing formation.
The lack of playing
as a team and in its midfield that should be contributing dearly to the defensive
tasks and not only in implementing an offensive game, lies within Mou’s
upcoming planning and in strategies, must be done in an intelligent way.
In addition, the need
of more Marcus Rashford’s is a way of getting the Manu manager all around
attentions if not interest of using the academy prospects that this club offered
and so far, several went to other squads as a loan. As here lies the solution to these club woes
in its defensive side, without recurring to serious expenses on players that
with time they will not deliver and became a total bust.
As many questions
arise from this loss at Vicarage Road, many state if Mourinho time has come as
a Manager, after losing his dressing room in Stamford Bridge and the revolt
some players staged against him that costed his job.
Forget Eva Carneiro,
very well Jose Mourinho is himself and not Sir Alex Ferguson or Sir Matt Busby,
those eras of the latter ones are in the past as well that soap opera conflict with
then Chelsea team Doctor.
Now is the future and
to erase the Red Devils woes, these needs along its Boss to implement order and
discipline, the need to scold his players this must become a thing in the past
for Jose Mourinho as stated earlier that was a reason for his departure at
Chelsea and encore cannot be discarded.
His job is to get the best of his players,
reignite that passion and ambition in the new United, and make his era shine once
in for to restore this club old glories and not undergo to these embarrassing
stages as they did recently, but that is a thing in the past.
Now his job is to get ready and front in what
seems a much contested and difficult Premiership with his Red Devils.
