With a sold out at
Toyota Park in Frisco, Texas, the hot streaked Dallas FC showed off its might
and looking forward to nestle a treble of a campaign. As the Hoops looking
forward to a paramount campaign and looking forward to win the league as all
around favorites.
Today’s win shows off
the Dallas crew readiness for prime time and ready to net the Concachampions, Supporters
and the always-coveted Major League Soccer Shields.
A final like no other
with two Major League Soccer entities and the New England Revolution looking
forward to net the Open cup trophy not won since 2007 contrary to their hosts
the Dallas FC with a long drought of 20 years.
As both squads
fancied their best initial elevens, the game went under way in Toyota Stadium
and despite the New England Revolution through Juan Agudelo who opened the
hostilities and putting the visiting Revolution up to a 1-0 on the sixth
minute.
No later, the hosts
through a series of plays headed by their main man Mauro Diaz, who be considered
the man of the match for his valuable contributions and accurate passing that,
became the edge of this match.
With a nice pass inside the area to Maxi Urruti the
Burn equal the score to 1 goal apiece and sending the whole of Toyota Stadium into
a frenzy and once again the bogey man of the Revs in Dallas Mauro Diaz became
the culprit for his squad second goal.
As Mauro Diaz put a
nice pass in the center of the area, it was for Matt Hedges who earlier was a
victim of a push inside the area and after his recovery; he jumped to push the
ball inside the area for the lead in the 40th minute. As the beat
continued in favor of the Hoops, during stoppage time once again Matt Hedges provoked
a penal of a play, which Mauro Diaz was the responsible of putting his FC
ahead.
Going before the
halftime, Dallas was paving his destiny to a 3-1 lead as well doing a sort of
payback after their 2007 meeting where the Revs won the Open Cup by a 3-2 score.
As nothing was going
for New England Boss Jay heaps and making a couple of substitutions due to
injuries to Kei Kamara and Je- Vaughn Watson with Gershon Koffie and Chris
Tierney that at the end they could not turn things around for their cause.
Despite Juan Agudelo
amazing efforts and almost making a goal and scoring one in the 73rd
, the Dallas FC before via Mauro Diaz and Maxi Urruti combination in the 61st
minute was enough for the Texans to seal the deal.
Very well, for Dallas
FC Boss Oscar Pareja this is the beginning of many amazing things to come for
his Big D after taking the first step of many to deliver many satisfactions to
the one of kind followers of the old Burn.
One down several to
go and especially the main trophy that counts the most in Major League Soccer shield
that will crown this squad all around efforts and top of the line game displayed
throughout the whole campaign.
Congratulations to the 2016
US Open Cup- Lamar Hunt Trophy Winners FC Dallas!
