An even Trafico matchup between both LA squads

LA Galaxy 1, LAFC 1
StubHub Center, Los Angeles

Dubbed as rivalry week, by Major League Soccer all week long we have several fronts staging their contests or Derbies, among one of those matchups we have one called El Trafico between newcomer LAFC and LA Galaxy.

Despite the first year squad LAFC, who will thought that the competition of these two squads to net bragging rights as the top rated squad in Tinsel Town, today El Trafico once gain end in an even stalemate of a goal apiece.

By the way, these two squads, netting the advantage for the pioneer LA Galaxy after that first meeting when the American version of Los Galacticos took the first match and later spoil it for the Black and Gold.

Today match despite the Galaxy fist score via Zlatan ibrahimovic in the 15’ minute to put the local LAG ahead in the first half to the pandemonium of the local’s supporters celebrating loudly how their squad was up in the scoreboard early.

With a play from Ola Kamara setting the stage with a beautiful pass to well situated Ibra who was the man in charge of leading the attack and with his goal that became a milestone with his 499 goal to open up the lead.

Still despite the early lead once again the disappointment of the Swede was visible after seeing his club losing the lead and surrendering what could been  a notable win at home for the Pioneer Angelinos.

However, do not count the visiting LAFC out of it, as this squad is becoming a hard fighting squad and hard to go down without putting an all-around fight getting to be known for its hard game and for their come from behind drive.

That hard work manager Bob Bradley has instituted on his first year Angelinos, so far with Carlos Vela starting the drive in the 50’ minute and drawing the foul from Galaxy Perry Kitchen that lead to a penalty that turned up to be the equalizer in the end.

With his ninth goal of the campaign, Vela put the tables even for the final score and a come from behind decoding the LA Galaxy defensive block until their err that lead to the draw in the end and put this edition of El Trafico on hold for next campaign.

For Carlos Vela goal, coming in the 51’ minute and beating the likes of LAG goalkeeper David Bingham that little could the veteran do to stop the shoot from the Mexico international that lead to this match in a draw.

With rivalry week coming to its high point, El Trafico is one of the highlights of Major League Soccer among its top contests, joining the likes of the always-contested Hudson Derby, Texas Derby   and the main one in the Cascadia Derby between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders.

El Trafico is becoming one of the utmost contests in league play that is drawing attention in all soccer circles in American soccer, this time the LA Galaxy gets the upper hand in the end with their first win of three in this campaign.
