Crystal Palace 0, Liverpool 2
Selhurst Park, London
With another win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, the Reds are looking like they are dead serious for the league title and challenging it from the reigning league champions Manchester City.
Too early to tell about the Reds campaign how will it turn out, however by the looks of it, I must say about manager Jürgen Klopp seriousness of bringing a shield to these parts of Merseyside after two failed tries.
Still the German is back in business with his Kop Boys looking forward to a prolific campaign and maybe see in this time a shield or two, especially that elusive one called the Barclay’s Premiership trophy.
In this newly inaugurated campaign, Liverpool is marching with perfection with two wins and strong desires of making a total impact in this edition of England’s top association after a few years being denied its top honors.
With a tough away, match at Selhurst and against a renewed Crystal Palace, looking forward to a prolific and successful campaign that can land them in the top ten spots in the end of the campaign and put that relegation business in the past.
So far, in the campaign the Reds have scored two back-to-back wins as well the same amount of clean sheets for their new man under their posts Brazilian great Alysson who had another grand performance and seeing his defense shine on!
Still do not underestimate those high flying Glaziers out, as their initial eleven despite seeing a red in Aaron Van- Bissaka after his blatant foul over Mohamed Salah that lead his Eagles in disadvantage over the visiting Reds.
For manager Kloop sending his traditional 4-3-3 formation lead by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firminho, their lethal trio once delivered on the spot and with its magnificent three in the midfield. I believe highly about these squad pretensions of making a dash to the league top and looking forward to end Manchester City all around league dominance.
Opposite by the home side with manager Hodgson putting in the field a 4-4-2 with Wilfred Zaha and Christian Benteke in the frontal attack, the visitor’s defense was to have its hands full with a dangerous Zaha considered a total nightmare.
In the first half Liverpool opened the party with a foul inside the area by Palace fouling Mohamed Salah inside the area Mamadou Sakho near the end of the first half in the 45’ minute to be exact, and the penalty kick well executed Liverpool James Milner.
After halftime, the outcome for both squads was going to be a contested one and for the locals looking forward to tie this up but looking forward to seal the deal in front of their faithful but not today as luck was not with them.
I do praise the likes of the local Eagles that despite losing to the push of the Liverpool side in the end never surrendered or intimidated surrendering valiantly and looking forward to having one amazing campaign.
Unfortunately, these surrendered to a late goal in the 93 to Sadio Mane and Liverpool sealing the deal with their second win of the campaign.
