Crystal Palace 0, Wolverhampton Wanderers 1
Selhurst Park, London
For manager Nuno Espiritu Santo this dream of run is not what he imagined after the celebrations of his side recently promoted Wolves turned into reality in the start of a new challenge and adventures in Premiership.
So far, in five matches, the Wanderers have gained thirteen points and among one of this was notable draw was against Jose Mourinho almighty Manchester United delivering an all-around upset in the end.
On this past Saturday, playing on the road against Crystal Palace in Selhursst, a determined group of chaps looking forward to may once put the commitment these Wolves came prepared with to deliver.
As manager Espiritu Santo, side is becoming too comfortable in every match played in this nascent campaign and looking very serious that makes them look like this is an easy endeavor or been for quite some time in the ranks of this association.
With this win places the Wanderers in seventh place with fifteen points and trailing by one point to current sixth place sensation and holder AFC Bournemouth having a surprising paramount of a campaign.
However, next week match against suddenly slumping Waterford at home will be for sure another challenge as this does not easy but in the eyes and mind of manager Espiritu Santo his Boys are having a time of their life.
Very well, a team filling up in every match with loads of optimism is somehow what the Wolves Portuguese Boss was looking for in the campaign, and by far his side is performing and delivering positive results with the league going into its third month.
With the outlook of playing in the road the challenge was still there for these Wanderers but these really played with a lot of heart and commitment to excel in the end, that saw their efforts rewarded in the end.
The Wolves are a team that is showing a lot of improvement and raising the bar in every match in tis defensive game, despite not making a big dent in opposing goals just a lone score will do just fine as the confidence deposited in their backfield is enormous.
By netting their fourth clean sheet delivered again by Rui Patricio his court with his five some in Matt Doherty, Ryan Bennett, Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Jonny, lately King Pat has delivered one of kind performances and positive results.
Among one of his notables saves came in the 70’ minute with back-to-back attacks by the locals when these came back to hunt Rui Patricio and the man delivered with superb stops from Max Meyer and Jeffrey Schlupp shoots.
Still this is not over and the campaign is far from over as manager Nuno Espiritu Santo is to brace his side with the upcoming series of challenges coming to them and the idea is to preserve their positon if not make it better in the end.
As the big prize for him will be a trophy or two, but in the end a European positon will do well for this recently promoted squad that in their first year will do an all-around the feat of making their case seriously.
