Watford 3, Huddersfield 0
Vicarage Road, Watford
For manager Javi
Garcia and his Hornets are moving on up the overall table, despite their wins
over squads not considered primetime, still a win is a win and these are
displaying to put on another wondrous campaign.
With back-to-back wins
since the return of regular play in Premiership, the Orns have netted important
wins over the Wolves on the road and today against low-key Huddersfield at home.
As this win after experiencing
two consecutive losses comes on an opportune time as well uplifts this squad in
the overall table to seventh place with fifteen points and moving on up the
table and within striking distance of fifth place Tottenham.
Slowly but surely is
the task and approach that manager Javi Garcia is taking with his side and
looking forward to a strong campaign after last year meltdown the yellow Army
sustained in the course of the second half that cost the job of then manager Marco Silva.
However, this is a
new era under the Spaniard that so far is delivering despite him not promising
anything spectacular or the league shield as many do, but nothing written with the
squads in top as anytime perfection can stop for them anytime.
As this march continues,
we may have many surprises at Vicarage Road with these hard fighting Orns that
in every match are displaying one amazing readiness to be among the primetime
squads and with a European finish will do for these lads.
After this win the
Hornets manager showing to the airs of his squad all around achievement and
second consecutive win over a sorry Terriers, the outlook of another repeat of
this win can come next week against Newcastle United.
For Javi Garcia stating
the quality of his initial elevens putting in every match gives him the right
to claim of his squad being among the best in the league, as he backed such
claims after his side is playing a one of kind game of football.
Getting back to this
match at home that the locals put on to their followers I must say the way
these open up the score board with a pass in the 40th from Adam
Masina to Roberto Pereyra that expose in full the weakness of the Terriers defensive
backfield.
By taking several
defenders and not stopping the Argentinian to put on the first goal on the
board to the delirium on a sold out Vicarage Road and seeing how the Andean finish
with style and beating the likes of the visitors goalkeeper Jonas Lossl.
As in the minute 10’
the official time for the first goal when nine minutes passed by and the second
score for the local Yellow Army when another opportune pass from Étienne Capoue
to Gerard Delofou to put the score at 2-0 in the 19’ minute.
As both Pereyra and
Delofou scoring their first goals of the campaign, the Watford Boys were going
to halftime with the lead and the promises of a much spectacular second half to
seal the deal and maybe see Huddersfield stage a comeback.
Still the Terriers
via a shoot that almost look that the local’s goalkeeper Ben Foster saw it
close in losing his clean sheet with an outside shoot the area done by Chris
Lowe that hit the bar and just a close scare.
In the end, Watford
Kiko Femina found a wide-open Isaac Success in the 80’ minute to put the final
score in 3-0 and put the Hornets in command of their destinies as these are eyeing
a top spot finish.
