One win at a time is
the overall philosophy of the Tottenham Spurs Boss Mauricio Pochettino, after
seeing his side netting an important one over a very hardened Everton squad.
After seeing its
dynamic duo in Dele Alli and Harry Kane deliver in the clutch.
The Lilywhites are
within seven points of league leaders, cross-town foes the Chelsea Blues, as
the North Londoners are keeping pace, and patiently these are waiting for a
slip up from Antonio Conte squad.
Still for Manager
Pochettino is a big deal to keep his squad in tune and not let go any points in
the remainder of the campaign if they aspire to dethrone the Pensioners out of
first.
So far, for the
Spurs, playing an excellent football at home and looking very sharp, in the
road is where they need to maintain their positive momentum going and not
surrendered any points with a loss or draw.
As every point
matters for the Londoners, the heat is on them with a sudden revival from their
archrival Manchester City, within one point of the Spurs, the need to win is
one vital and important task ahead of them.
In addition, to their
next week compromise against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, considered as
another Derby but not as big as other matches, the revival seen lately by Sam
Allardyce at this parts of London is somehow of a concern to the Spurs Boss.
However one thing
that Mauricio Pochettino both squads he’s managed, he has shown an insurmountable amount of respect to his foes regardless of their position in
the table and does not allow his group to became so overconfident.
As this match will be
seen as an important one and a win will be considered a shoot in the arms for
the Lilywhites bunch looking forward to continue their quest to move up to the
top of the league.
With plenty of new
blood in its starting eleven, the Spurs are seeing how its players are looking
forward to excellence and deliver to White Hart Lane many satisfactions and
shields not won for quite some time.
In every match, we
see how the goals are meeting by a young Tottenham squad that never gives up
and maintains its fight throughout the whole match until its end and achieving
their goals, as of today match they got the last laugh.
With an early lead
and inspired by a Harry Kane double in the 20 and 56 minutes of the match,
suddenly the visitors via Romelu Lukaku in the 80th and Enner
Valencia on 93rd minute.
At the end the
Toffees reaction became short when an opportune Dede Alli goal came in the 92nd
minute and Everton’s Valencia goal came a minute later but fell short for the
visitors and the Spur’s persevered with the win.
The Everton resolve
became a nightmare for the locals, still the way and determination and hunger
showed by a Tottenham squad was enormous and with a total diligence of a winner.
