To a complete sold
out, Maginn Park is witnessing how its temporary residents have made this venue
a lucky one after posting a perfect start in their first three matches of this
2017.

After delivering a
blow and creating in week three of the Airtricity League of Ireland, were its
defending champions the Dundalk FC squad got a beating and an upset at the same
time.
The likes of Buncrana
tremble after seeing how their Boys delivered with style, to one of the most
raucous and frenzied crowd in attendance, which got their fair share of their
pay after seeing their Boys delivered.
For their Boss Kenny
Shiels, how sweet it was to shake off a losing streak, after his eleven exposed
to a long losing streak and with the defending champions coming to town, the
odds favored the Louth County squad.
Still for the Candystripes
faithful, these responded to support their bunch and they did not left disappointed.
Seeing how their squads
play with such euphoria and a stamina regardless of the foe in front, these
really played a dynamic football in the front and in its backfield these demonstrated
how stingy they were in denying the visitors any liberties.
Yes, the Derry initial
eleven dominating the midfield and not allowing any liberties to the Lilywhites
of not displaying their game they are comfortable with as well the visiting
Boss Stephen Kenny making all sorts of moves to try to mount something.
His misfortunes spoke
at the end of the match with a horrible 3-1 loss.
Still for the Dundalk
bunch it’s not over or considered the end of the world as many see it, as their
foes in cork City winning their Monday night match, situates them atop the
league overall table and with many work to be done by the visitors.

This campaign, Derry
City has seen an awakening in one of its strikers, Ryan Mc Bride who got a goal
in this match and another in their Friday match against the Shamrock Rovers.
After Mc Bride goal
that became the go ahead and insure the win for the locals, a double from Barry
Mc Namee, the Candystripes sealed the deal as well delivering three points for
them.
Keeping pace with a
hot streaking Cork City situated with twelve points and in sole possession of
first place with three points lead over Derry City and Dundalk FC seating pretty
in second place with nine points.
The next match for Derry
City playing at home on March 18 against a surprising Drogheda United, which
after its promotion to the Premiership is playing one tough and resilient football,
putting in peril the Candystripes streak in peril.
