A number of four draws and just one win shadowed the League of Ireland entering into its week four of activities with the Sligo Rovers earning their first three points of the campaign.

In Tallaght the locals Shamrock Rovers welcoming, the defending champions Dundalk, unfortunately for the more than 4000 in attendance in the end had to settle with both sides sharing the points.

The Students were hosts to a new and strong Saint Patrick’s Athletic starting the fete with an early goal in the 28’ minute via Mike Drennan, when everything looked like a sure win for the visiting Pats.
