North Ireland 2, Estonia 0
Windsor Park, Belfast

North Ireland is off to a magnificent start in their Euro 2020 qualifiers debut, with a 2-0 win over a visiting Estonia, this win for sure uplifts this squad all around confidences. For sure, these will be taking advantage of their condition of locals, and heading into their next compromise on Sunday against Belarus.

With Windsor Park in the background, the Boys in Blue and Green had all the elements of netting an important first win of their race to Euro 2020 very well showing off their might and determination for such feat today.

However, for manager Michael O’ Neill seeing his side seeded in a not so easy Group C, his squad delivered today a notable and important win against a hard fighting Estonian National Team looking forward the win.

With Germany, Belarus, Estonia and the Netherlands, the North Ireland squad is one determined to net its direct pass to Europe’s grand fete of football as well its direct pass of two from each group, something that looks a bit ambitious and challenging.

In spite of the win the Norn Iron defense did the job of containing a forward attacking game of the Estonians that never ceased in tier quest of netting the three points and the win against the home side.

Somehow, this North Ireland squad is looking good in this game and opportune settings that in the end taken advantage and the way this squad is playing with such harmony in the field for sure these will give their opponents a contest.

This time manager O’ Neill sent a very effective and offensive prone 4-3-3 formation and worked wonders erasing the specter of the past when Estonia defeated North Ireland and today the locals returning the favor.

As the Norn Iron with a display of great football these did not hesitated to take advantage of the opportunities with a first goal in the 56’ minute Kyle Lafferty set up the play for Niall McGinn for the game first score.

No later when Estonian goalkeeper Lepmets charged inside the area with dangerous game when the referee stated his high feet were enough to call on a penalty in favor of the local side.

The opportunity rose for the Norn Iron Captain Stephen Davis to take the penalty and the man scored the cushion goal via penalty kick in the 75’ minute as well these playing a immaculate defensive game the North came up with three golden points.

In the tale of the tape, North Ireland shined on with nineteen shoots at goal with seven shoots direct at goal versus five of the visitors and just two at target along with a whopping 55% percent possession.
