An Impacting pass for Montreal!

Nous a Gagne, are the exact words expressed in the City of Mary, after its Gars of the Montreal Impact did the feat and advanced to the always fought and coveted Eastern Conference final for their first time since their inception.

As the Montreal Impact and their cross, the 401 foes the chaps of the Toronto FC, put on a show this weekend of postseason play in the Eastern Conference with a notable win over the other New York squad.

As Major League Soccer is making history in every campaign as this occasion we have the surprise of witnessing in its Eastern Conference final a couple of its Canadian squad looking forward to advance to its final.

Dubbed as the North of the Border clash or better known as the 401 Derby due to these cities closeness, this time the East will vibrate and see the ultimate of clashes between two arch-rivals in an epic battle for netting the top in Canadian football supremacy.

Still I cannot believe how the Impact made a one of a kind game one win by a minimum lead, as everything was on the line for Le Gars as they braced to a one of a kind and contested match to play at Red Bull Arena back in Harrison, New Jersey.

For Mauro Biello Montreal Boss, playing an away match meant to play with not only the Red Bulls initial eleven and its raucous fan base known for their high decibels and these being a not so comfortable fan base to play around.

Very well, with a 1-0 win at Saputo Stadium, he was aware of the feeble lead they had of one goal in their favor, the odds of the Red Bulls of making a strong comeback had many possibilities of making this contest even and pulling away the upset and momentum for the Montreal squad.

That was not the case for a local squad looking to even the score and at times missing key shoots that could wrap it up for Jesse Marsch squad, as they had the chance of going ahead in the scoreboard via a penal that Evan Bush stopped successfully.

Very well how the Impact defensive core played a key role of stopping a brilliant and dangerous Red Bulls striker in Bradley Wright Phillips who saw its luck failed after many attempts and just scoring one goal in both matches.

As Jesse Marsch sent a 4-3-2-1 and with a lone striker in Bradley Wright Phillips, for Mauro Biello he counter with a front three attack in Dominick Oduro, Matteo Mancuso and their front men Ignacio Piatti.

Despite not seeing Didier Drogba in the initial eleven, this time he was available in the Montreal bench, ready to contribute and play when the time became the opportune one in what many see in him a striking presence.

At the end this match belonged to the visitors and its leader and operates in Ignacio Piatti, since his arrival at the City of Mary squad his presence has being a valuable one and now is contributions once again put his squad on the verge of another final.

As the Argentine once again made a living hell of his host’s defensive backfield with a double and sealing the deal for his squad as well guiding them to another important final in this club history, but this one is a league one.

Once again, the vision and ambition of club Owner Joey Saputo made it possible of reinforcing his club with the right players to contend in this edition of Major League Soccer as they did in its early stages being atop the Eastern Conference for quite some time.

Still this is history for the Montreal squad playing tier first every conference final and all Canadian one against the Toronto FC squads, as two games separate the Impact or TFC from the final, as the Impact persistence paid off as last year their elimination came from the Columbus Crew.

The best is yet to come, Biello’s Montréal Impact will continue making history and bringing satisfactions to its core of followers, and they are looking for delivering the big shield to its halls at Saputo Stadium and be the first of Canada to do it, maybe?
