With back-to-back wins,
the Black Cats are seeing in November, a sort of a lucky month for the Stadium
of Light residents and for their talisman man Jermaine Defoe showing off his
all around persistence.
For Sunderland Boss,
David Moyes, finally being in the winning column, and all of a sudden for
the Scotland native, his strategies are finally working out for the best.
After two important
wins in a consecutive way one over a tough Bournemouth and in the weekend over
Hull City, they are embarked in a winning streak and by adding points these are
within three points of salvation.
With a match at
Stadium of Light and being a sort of heavyweight for the visiting Tigers, the
locals took advantage of these weak spots and voila, the game saw a twist of fortunes
for the best and these Black Cats.
I mean persistence
from their main man that after experiencing some bitter moments in this
campaign, all of a sudden his experience and leadership is becoming vocal instituting in matches his all-around authority.
Still for Jermaine
Defoe, he has no doubts of this squad having a role in this league top spots
and seeing it as a total contender in these parts of Tyne- Wear, lately his contribution
in the field and scoring the difference makers.
Are making him a game
changer for his Black Cats, very well in their last matches, being a sort of inspiration
to Victor Anichebe between these two have scored a total of five goals and
these have delivered two important wins.
As for Manager Moyes
putting in effect an effective 4-2-3-1 formation, with a lone attacker in Defoe
and behind him Anichebe, suddenly Sunderland’s offense is seeing a positive 1-2
punch in its attack, equaling to a winning formula.
The question arises
in how their drive will continue with an upcoming scheduled considered a bit difficult
and tough to swallow when they will go to Anfield and face a red hot Liverpool
Reds and then coming home to play Leicester City.
So far, the changes
in the initial lineup have paid off for the man from Scotland after seeing a
revival in Anichebe’s career and giving a vote of confidence to may young guns
in his sqaud, that at the end it will pay off, with an out of the danger zone exit.
We have a long way to
go but so far with Jermaine Defoe ultimate accomplishment of reaching his 150th
goal in Premiership- suddenly uplifts his teammates to a valuable win, a push that this team is in need of, if it
wants to continue in the ranks of Premiership.
For now this
continuance of a positive streak for the Black Cats will do a boost in their
moral and motivate this squad to start playing a more ambitious and with a
winning mentality football towards the end of the campaign.
The goal is to finish
well away from the relegation zones and maybe be fighting for a European spot,
nothing impossible or difficult for the Sunderland bunch, but for now, saving their
hive is the ultimate of wishes for their man at the helm.
Wins can come in,
especially when they play the odious roles of spoilers and coming as underdogs
this can be good use in their advantage in every match they play to net important
and valuable wins in the rest of the campaign.
Nothing written in football,
but in the case of the Sunderland Black Cats, one challenge at a time will be
meet in every match played an positive results delivered, these can expect many
wondrous things at the end of the campaign.
Give credit to
November and Defoe’s all around resolve to see a winner in the Stadium of Light!
