What a difference it makes
when you play at home, as the Hawthorns lived an afternoon of pure genuine football
from its Boys, after these put on a show and displayed a genuine scoring frenzy
to net three points of gold.
Suddenly we have a contender
in the Baggies, who can really put on a performance and turn the tables upside
down for many of those so-called giants of Premiership.
As many in Premiership,
view the WBA, as one difficult and tough foe to play and not so easy to get a
win, these in an inspired evening for sure can blast their opposition away.
Very well the
reputation their man at the helm Tony Pulis, can draw as man that can pull an upset
and play very well the role of spoiler whomever squad he manages.
With today’s win, the
Throstles did a grand feat by beating a not so easy and comfortable foe in Sean
Dyche and his Burnley bunch, considered
as a sort of giant killers and coming to today’s match both squads looked very
leveled in both of their starting elevens.
A very even match, I must
say.
The only difference
were the hunger and ambition showed by the local Albion Boys over their guests,
that in the eyes of their Boss they did not showed to play throughout the entire
ninety minutes of this match.
Playing in a Monday night
match, the Albion boys and Clarets were to close week 12 of Premiership, Tony
Pulis sent a message with today’s win to all league foes and showing his
intentions of going for European spots.
Closing week 12 and
putting all of its ninety minutes of pure football in league chronicles, the colossus
of Sandwell lived a near sold out and witness a brilliant spectacle.
As the man from Wales
sent his initial eleven with a diamond formation to wrestle and stop the visitor’s
strikers and its attack cold in it tracks, Manager Pulis a nice sent a traditional
4-2-3-1 to counter his foes offensively and defensibly working wonders at the
end.
Still who cannot
describe the scoring frenzy staged by the Albion Boys, when the match was just four
minutes into action midfielder Matt Phillips showed off with the early goal, followed
later by James Morrison in the sixteenth minute for the 2-0.
Off course, the home
side had the advantage and total control of the game, despite the Clarets near
scares in the posts defended by Ben Foster who always came ahead and never gave
an inch to the visitors pressure all evening long.
With the game going in
favor of the home squad, comfortably having a lead of two goals in their advantage,
it is when WBA Captain Darren Fletcher on the 37th put the game on
ice for his Baggies before going to halftime break.
At the end, it was turn
for Albion Solomon Rondon in the 64th putting the game away and
impossible for the visiting squad to make a comeback and if these would to
happen a miracle would been the opportune wish for an enraged and frustrated
Clarets Boss Sean Dyche.
As the match was to
conclude the joy of netting an important win for Tony Pulis and his crew was a
feat like no other and with the goal frenzy to speak for them, West Brom Albion
places itself in ninth place and with sixteen points.
The win for the
Albion Boys, became a sort of inspiration for Manager Tony Pulis, openly stating
his desire at the end of this campaign of netting a European spot.
