Another win and so
far this club is the first one to reach over forty points in the campaign and
so far so good they are doing the utmost of history in this campaign entering
into its fourth month.
This time the
Shamrock Rovers were the latest of victims to put in disarray by one of the
championship most productive of offenses and stingy of defenses, translated
into perfection.
How does a club
seeing going down and later stage a spectacular comeback to end it in a high
note!
That is the Rebel
Army doing it in style and they won’t care when will their perfection is going
to end, but this club is having the time of its life and continue to extend
their lead over Dundalk FC.
Still it does not
come easy lately for the Rebel Army, but they persevere to win their matches as
they aware of that no match played will be an easy endeavor for them.
With an early goal,
the visiting Dublin Boys of Shamrock Rovers opened the hostilities to a silent
Turners Cross, one thing that this club is no quitter and the City squad with a
conviction like no other and support from its crowd.
They started doing
the best they can do, put a display of their one of a kind football.
With an early Trevor
Clarke score the Hoops suddenly were on top of this match, as the hardened City
intial eleven put it, they came back before the first half was over with an
equalizer via Ryan Delaney sending both teams into break even.
No later, we had the
second half, once again, the locals Boss John Caulfield sent his troops to do
their best and with a hunger, the City 11 started making its way into the
Rovers backfield until the second score of the night arrived.
As the second goal
for the City, squad came by an intrepid Gearoid Morrissey and later seeing how
an inspired Ryan Delaney scored in the 82nd the third goal and
dispatching himself with a double in the match.
When an avid and
using his goal sense, the Leesiders Jonny Dunleavy on injury time, putting this
match away for the final 4-1 score and
seeing how this club is no quitter and seeing a continuance of their near
perfect run in this campaign.
With this win, Cork
City reaches fifteen wins in the campaign out of sixteen matches were they draw
and still they maintain their perfect record and with no signs of surrendering
to no one in the SSE League of Ireland.
Who will stop the
Rebel Army momentum and perfect streak, by far this squad so far is showing off
hunger and a one of a kind stamina that makes them invincible and hard to beat.
There is no stopping
John Caulfield and his bunch by the way they are playing with hunger, still the
road to perfection filled with many obstacles for the Leesiders, among one their
next week match at Oriel Park against a hot streaked Dundalk.
Now that is a test of
fire for John Caulfield and his bunch facing the defending champions and these
suddenly seeing a revival in this campaign a very even match I must say.
