Cork City perfection continues at 12

Perfection continues for the Cork City bunch, after posting their twelve win in a row over a hapless Finn Harps squad at Turners Cross, with a 5-0 goal rout and exemplary display of Leesider football.

For John Caulfield the City Boss is one happy man but weary of the upcoming compromises for his squad and having in mind that anytime the specter of losing can arrive regardless of the foe they face.

With their next compromise at the Tribesmen venue, Galway United can be that foe that despite its sorry position in the overall table can become the party pooper for the Rebel Army and end their perfect winning streak.

Still by the way this club is playing anything can happen and until that day comes, this squad will not surrender but continue on its magical run towards the league shield or other challenges ahead as internal competitions and especially the Europa League.

Here this squad will show off its potential to seize a place in the knockout rounds and maybe emulate its cross-country foe Dundalk FC magical run last campaign, the sky is the limit for the Leesiders.

What a match and display of pure genuine football a la Caulfield and especially for several of the City players scoring in this notable win.

As Stephen Dooley scoring in the 22, Sean Maguire 59 and 89, Gearoid Morrisey 78 and Ryan Delaney 83 to assure the win and for Sean Maguire seeing a continuance of his scoring abilities and reaching eleven goals in the campaign.

However realistically speaking, the Leesider Army siting pretty at first place with 36 points and fourteen points ahead, so far, everything looks like their time is finally here with a sheer dominance over its league foes.

As Manager, John Caulfield states of him and his bunch of keeping their feet on the ground.

Despite the positives and currently a trophy won and maintaining a good record in the EA Sports Cup, his main objective to lift the league cup at the end of the campaign will be one of his utmost of goals but there still work ahead.

As the City schedule shows off Galway United, Drogheda United, Sligo Rovers, Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk FC in their next compromises, all of these have the essence of an all-around finals, although these are just league matches.

For now, Cork City will have to enjoy their one of a kind success and feats in this campaign so far and be ready to tackle whatever comes their way, but one thing this squad loses a match it won is the end of the world.

Nevertheless, their amazing run in league play will be one amazing one at its conclusion but the big test for them in the international stages when they start their Europa League qualifiers.

This squad will become one unbeatable entity and looking forward to capture in this campaign that always-elusive league shield denied to them consecutively in three years, at the end this is the year of the Rebel Army.
