For Harry Kane Gulls back-to-back
wins in the league of Ireland, are making them look like the start of the
campaign as one mighty and fighting machine.
Despite a few
stumbles and seeing how the Shamrock Rovers are within a point, the Gulls are
looking strong and keeping still in third place.
Playing in Galway
Eamonn Deacy Park, the Tribesmen so far submerged in last place and fighting
for their survival in the relegation spots, for manager Shane Keegan, this match
and many other to come will mean the world for them.
Especially if these converted
to wins and start adding some much-needed points in their quest of salvation,
as last place is no laughing matter or a place to feel comfortable.
With a game at home the
Tribesmen, were a bit confident to net a win or at least rescue a point with a
draw, but in the case of bray Boss Harry Kenny, he did not allowed his squad to
play a comfortable game.
As the Gulls with
former Galway United alumni, Anthony Flood was the responsible of opening the
doors for Bray Wanderers in the 18th minute, putting the score in
favor of the visitors and uplifting their confidence once again.
No later than ten
minutes pass by, when a second score came via Mark Salmon and going into the
half with a two goals lead and with a stunned stadium after seeing the easiness
from the visiting squad was turning this game around.
Alongside the lack of
focus and synchronicity by Galway United initial eleven, were the main culprits
of this and many losses in the campaign and this is something for manager
Keegan he has not been able to fix.
Still nothing is loss
for the Tribesmen as Stephen Folan who in the 76 put some hopes in Galway’s faithful
in Eamonn Deacy Park and with his score, being the second in two weeks.
At the end, the visiting
Bray Wanderers defense cut the Tribesmen rally.
So far, this win keeps
the hopes up for the Gulls of making a jump into second place and trailing the defending
champions Dundalk by seven points in the general table and with a match next
week against them at Oriel Park.
So far seeing this opportunity
as an all-around opportunity for Harry Kenny and his Gulls after the Lilywhites
have played with just a couple of days rest and this little they will have on
their Friday match.
For now, the Gulls
have a winning streak they for sure will like to see with a continuance and
cutting the lead towards second spot held by the Dundalk bunch, still the odds
are very even despite the champion’s busy schedule.
Next week at Oriel
Park will be a test of fire for the Bray Wanderers bunch if these are ready for
league primetime and fighting for the top by playing a tough foe as an away
squad.
