Dundalk 1, Waterford 0
Oriel Park, Dundalk
So far, in the campaign the Waterford Blues have earned important wins and making it interesting in the race to the top being so close to Cork City, whom they got their only loss in the campaign.

With a gem of a defensive match between both squads, it was until the visiting Blues Gary Comerford unfortunate move saw his side succumb and netting their second loss of the campaign.
A win is a win, despite how ugly or whatever way you want to put it, by earning three points of gold for these lucky Lilywhites, this mishap by their guests became their gain and now being just a point away from the defending champions in the top.
Still I am not tired of stating the seriousness of this squad novel to the the ranks of the Airtrcity League and so far delivering a wondrous campaign, the Blues with a nice game throughout the whole match.

This drought is seriously putting the manager of the Lilywhites to rethink in his formula of how to shuffle his lineup or make something happen for his initial eleven to start an offensive display that can bring defenses down.
However today was once again it was no field day for both squads defenses as the intents from both elevens was seen but with no immediate impact towards anyone’s goals being defeated but instead defended successfully all afternoon long.
Despite the drought of Dundalk, their total dominance in the field and match was evident putting in display some of the visitor’s inexperience in matches like this and frustrating their attack whenever the Blues started something.

Despite the win Dundalk earns an important victory just needing a to open up its scoring arsenals in order to return to its old glories and displace the likes of the Rebel Army from firsts place and spoil their defense of this title.
This a task for manager Kenny in stepping up his strike force to start making some much needed scores by far they have loss several points with some matches that could been won and just draw with a share of the points.
