Welcome to Major League Soccer LAFC

Welcome to Major League Soccer LAFC, as the Boys from Tinsel Town becoming the 23rd squad to make its debut in this 2018 edition. Already are making all sorts of headlines after their win against back-to-back league finalists the Seattle Sounders.

With a lone goal scored in the 11 minute by a nice one two combination from Carlos Vela to Diego Rossi, this score became enough for the newcomers to rise to the occasion and net their first win of the tournament and their history.

As I give credit to a determined and hard fighting Angelino backfield making all sorts of stops in the momentum of the local Seattle arrivals looking forward to at least tie the match, after time was running out.

Still the experience and hard fighting of the former league champions game that has elevated this squads into two league finals and last campaign losing in the grand finale against the Toronto FC, gave the LA backfield a few moments of anguish.

However the experience of manager Bob Bradley who in his many years, he planned this match and sent the best of his arsenal in order to make an impacting presentation with his Boys to at least these display a fight.

Today they just left Century Link Park with a notable and well-deserved victory after their initial eleven rose to the occasion and defended overzealously the whole afternoon the lone score delivered their first goal in MLS as well this team historic first win.

Giving credit and kudos especially to an inspired Angelinos goalkeeper Tyler Miller making many efforts to prevent his posts of falling to the push and pressures of the Sounders multiple shoots and opportunities these had all afternoon long.

In addition to the whole, eleven sent by manager Bob Bradley and strategically planning this match successfully that in the end he and his FC rose to the occasion and delivered a one of a kind win against a squad that had all the labels of favorite.

As the tale of the tape showing the local Seattle Sounders dominance in the overall statistics, that doesn’t count in a match were the experience of many of the expansion side put in display today.

The Seattle squad had 22 shoots versus the LAFC just 5, with 7 shoots on target and 9 off target and six blocked contrary to the City of Angels squad with one on target and three off target and one blocked. Seattle we have a scoring problem!

In the case of the LAFC, we have a squad with momentum and all around confidence going to their next league compromise against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium in what seems to be a long schedule away.

Not until April 29 when they meet the Seattle Sounders at Banc Of California Stadium in their home debut in what promises to be a sold out to see their beloved Black and Gold rematch against the Emerald City Boys, the Seattle Sounders.

Today the LAFC made history!
