Without any further review, in this edition of the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland, we have a surprise and possibly a fairy tale of a run. With recently promoted Waterford putting on a grand display in their first run in the big circuit.
As Alan Reynolds and company delivering a one of a kind afternoon away at the Showgrounds but facing a desperate and fighting Sligo Rovers looking to turn their campaign for the better, in this match they fell prey of a fighting Blues.
With a 2-1, score and a late goal in the 89 by the visitors, that was enough for the win and maintained their amazing run considered notable for a recently promoted squad destined for the relegation spots.
Surprise, surprise as the visiting Blues opened the score in the 34 minute of the first half by Gavan Holohan, but after intermission, the locals started to look for the opportune moment when Adam Morgan put the score even in the 67.
No later as the match was going to finish even by the looks of this contest, disaster struck for the local Bit O’ Red when Courtney Duffus score the go-ahead and little the locals did to put the score even with time running out.
Sligo Rovers 1, Waterford 2
In Markets Field, the local Super Blues di not had any problem to dispatch a squad sentenced to the abyss to a sorry Bray Wanderers who fell prey of a lone goal scored by Daniel Morrisey in the 81 minute.
After a defensive display in Shannonside, at the end the Super Blues came out with the win.

At Tallaght Stadium, the local Shamrock Rovers put an offensive display by beating the visiting Candystripes of Derry City by a 6-1 rout and exposing this northern squad defensive woes once again in the campaign.
With a foursome by an inspired Graham Burke scoring in the 41, 69, 75 and 90 minutes alongside with Sean Kavanaugh 57 and Ronnan Finn 68 were enough to seal the win and at home supported by their faithful. As for the visitors in the 73, Rory Hale broke the clean sheet for the Hoops goalkeeper Kevin Horgan.
Shamrock Rovers 6, Derry City 1
In Phibsborough colossus of Dalymont, once again the Bohemians after a notable start of a campaign and now seeing their troubles mount, not even playing as locals could end their winless drought. In a 1-0 win by their cross Town rivals Saint Patrick Athletic.
This edition of the Dublin Derby went in favor of the Saints with a lone score in the 15 minute by Dean Clarke who sealed the deal and started mounting more trouble for Keith Long and his Gypsies.
