What to expect of Zlatan Ibramovic move to Major League Soccer

With the news capturing many headlines in the world of soccer, the news of Zlatan Ibramovic coming to United States Premier association, Major League Soccer. As of today becoming official and leaving one of Europe’s most important of squads Manchester United to join America’s version of the Galacticos, the LA Galaxy.

Ibra will be the highlight of Tinsel Town, as the newest celebrity in world football to come to these parts of Southern California to enjoy the sunshine and mainly to reinforce the Galaxy frontal attack.

I do see this as a maybe, as the Swede accepting to come to MLS Galaxy seen as a move to net some playing time for him as well to maintain him in shape in order to compete in the upcoming World Cup with the Swedish National Team.

For Ibramovic not seeing any real playing time and lately the way Jose Mourinho has been demanding of his players to deliver perfection, so far in the campaign after his recovery from that injury has been mere  187 minutes.

In addition, where will he fit in the 4-2-3-1 formation of manager Sigi Schmidt, can he play a midfield as so far the number 9 position is currently held by Ola Kamara after the LA squad in the preseason  acquire his services, to substitute the hole left by Gyazi Zardes.

With Roman Alessandrini in the left, Gio Dos Santos in the center and Emmanuel Boateng right playing the creative midfield as well for Dos Santos at times looking to finish the plays at goal, how will Ibra fit or adapt in the Galaxy lineup and game?

For the league is another PR success and coup getting another high caliber player to join the likes of Sebastian Giovinco, David Villa, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ashley Cole to mention a few into its lineup of top of the line soccer luminaries.

However how will Ibra deliver and contribute to the league and his new squad the LA Galaxy, as he is no David Beckham and neither plays like him as a natural forward, as the man with an ego as big the Hollywood sign.

The question is will he deliver in the time of need. Yes, he can as he is looked upon as a Talisman and his positive energy is easily transmitted to his teammates and this something that the Galaxy is in much need coming from its players.

Still the man comes with an impressive CV during his playing time in Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands and England and achieving many important titles in his playing days in several teams that so far number up to seven.

Now the question for this man that despite his ego he has deliver many successful stints and contributions to the squads he has been a part of, still the decision of him coming to a new association with a different style of game and seen as not an easy one.

That despite his retirement from international play with the Swedish National, still the possibilities of him appearing on another World Cup are endless and that is why he chose America to fulfill his dream.

After all the man considered as one of the top scorers in his national team history and already flirted with many possibilities of him making a return to international play.

At the end, the arrival of Zlatan Ibramovic to MLS highlights the importance and interest this association is awakening in the old continent and in many players that would like to revive their careers once again.

In the case of him coming with the league Targeted Allocation Money and a salary of 1.5 million a year not even half the amount he was making in Manu, maybe the man wants to relaunch his career and deliver us of a new spectacle in his game.

The doubts persist in his fitness and ability to compete and return to his old playing forms.
