Somehow this club has been plagued by such bad fortunes
and their elimination in conference semifinals as well finishing as runners up
thee times in the US Open Cup tells you a lot of this club misfortunes.
Still is back to the drawing board and regroup to front
another contested edition of Major League Soccer looking like this season will
be one disputed one, especially in the Eastern Conference.

With several important acquisitions in the preseason the
U is up and ready to put in the field one of its most competitive team to the front
in what seems to be another season full of challenges and many obstacles.
So far, the club has brought a lot of new blood to the
City of Brotherly Love with new signings in new players worthy of carrying this
team to the promised land of the league finals and seeking that elusive league
shield.

Adding to this club arsenals are the likes of Aurelien
Collin and Mark McKenzie to new contracts along with Jamiro Monteiro to a permanent
deal, the U is ready to tackle another challenging season in the confines of
MLS.
As manager Curtin is looking ahead with his new acquisitions
to make an impact, he is looking from this team to finally break the malefic of
the postseason along with other competitions this club goes into and gets not so
positive results in the end.

Somehow the absences of Marco Fabian, Haris Medunjanin
and Auton Trusty will these be missed dearly, maybe but that’s why the club
directives brought to Talen Energy Stadium a couple of players that will be a
natural fit in Jim Curtin’s game plan.
In the end, a sixth-place finish for the U can be the
ideal finish as well with tier new faces fitting in the starting lineup and generating
a scandalous game plan, the Philadelphia side for sure will make the postseason
but to see if these have the ambition.
