The Houston Dynamo looking to a return to its old winning ways

Under Tab Ramos, the Boys from Space City are looking forward to a return to its old glory days, after losing in 2017 a shoot to league finals, the Dynamo have not made it into the postseason in two consecutive seasons.

For a team that in its debut year won in back too back fashion the league title in 2006 and 2007.
This time they are serious about displaying a winning season under new manager Tab Ramos taking over the reins of interim Davy Arnaud who took over Wilmer Cabrera who did not deliver as expected.

However, this is a new era in the helm of the Houston Dynamo with former USMNT international Tab Ramos whom the club owners have deposited their entire trust in building a total winner in BBVA Stadium.

After all, Tab Ramos has become this franchise sixth manager and with a team that has built on the preseason with an important player and making it into a serious contender, the odds of them making a decent run-in 2020 is somehow filled with a lot of optimism.

As the directives of this club going in the task of building a winner and trying to look for a shoot in nabbing a spot the Western Conference spot for the playoffs and from there looking for a possible run to the conference finals.

I mean a bomb of a trade when the Orangemen top brass went into the task of building that winner manager Ramos is seeking, still, for the man in the helm, his focus is to build up this side with academy hopefuls after having a successful SuperDraft.

So far the club went into a bold task of making a bomb trade for a valuable player that for sure will uplift this club game for the better, they gamble a move that they deposited their hopes in paying off dearly in this and many other seasons to come.

By sending forward Marlon Hairston and $600,000 in Allocation Money and the Dynamo will get Minnesota’s third-round draft in 2020 for the services of Darwin Quintero, this tells you a lot of the seriousness of this club compromise with its fanbase.

In addition of the club getting players of the caliber of former Timbers defender Zarek Valentin on trade with newcomer FC Nashville, defender Victor Cabrera formerly with Montreal Impact, goalkeepers Marko Maric from Lillestrom and Cody Cropper from Hartford Athletic.

Another smart move the Dynamo re-signed three of its international players in Hondurans midfielder Boniek Garcia and defender Maynor Figueroa and Salvadorian midfielder Darwin Ceres to new contracts.

For Tab Ramos this time will be his first managerial job in a professional league after stints with the USMNT U-20 as a manager and assistant, the man will have a full challenge ahead of making this club maintain consistency in this squad winning ways.

Still, with a season where all the sides have managed to get new faces and armed themselves arsenals in tier lineups, the Dynamo for sure will have a very contested 2020 of these would like to make it into the league postseason.

A finish in eleventh place will be the ideal for this club and with a little luck and a turnaround these may be fighting for the last spot that awards a postseason spot, but I have my doubts in the end.
