Toronto FC ready to fight for another shoot at the finals

For the TFC under manager Greg Vanney, the Reds are somehow a dominant side losing two finals and winning one, as in 2019 edition these lost to the Seattle Sounders to be denied of their second league shield.

Despite the success under their current manager the TFC last season missed the chance to attend the 2018 playoffs after posting a not so positive record, but last season their rematch was evidently by playing their third finals in a four-year span.

For the former USMNT standout converted manager, the lad has been hard at work and success in his bid to uplift this team to their first-ever postseason as well winning the league back in 2017 defeating the Seattle Sounders.

Ever since the arrival of Vanney to Hogtown, the man has won several honors with four Trillium Cups, three Canadian Championships, one Supporter's Shield, three Eastern Conference’s and one MLS Shield and two runner ups in the League finals.

For the former coach of the year recipient in MLS back in 2017 and CONCACAF in 2017, the sky’s the limit for this winningest manager in TFC history that delivered to this team their first trips the Eastern Conference postseasons.

However, as every season the competition in all Major League Soccer steps up along in one of its most contested seasons and this one will not an exception, the cub has brought a few players in addition to assuring a return to its majority of players from last season.

As the first order of business was to re-sign their Captain Michael Bradley, adding three HG prospects Rocco Romeo, Jahkeele Marshal- Ruty, Jayden Nelson and goalkeeper Quentin Wesberg to new contracts.

In addition to getting new faces to play at BMO Field in defender from Troyes of the French League Chris Mavinga and newcomer DP in Argentinian winger Pablo Piatti from La Liga Espanyol.

Still, the team will have Jozy Altidore, Justin Morrow, Eriq Zavaleta, Nick de Leon, Omar Gonzalez, Auro, Laurent Ciman and the return of the league-best midfielder in Alejandro Pozuelo, the Reds are ready to rock all of MLS.

So far, the team directives have done their homework in solidifying a strong and competitive team come this 2020 as the aims of manager Vanney are to display a good season with a Supporters Shield run and getting into the finals of both MLS and CONCACHAMPIONS.

With two new squads coming in this campaign, the TFC for sure will see the heat their conference foes and newcomer Inter Miami will bring after it's reinforcing itself along with other squads in the East.

I foresee a strong finish between the first and second place in their conference along a positive run in CONCACHAMPIONS that these may go into its finals stage again, still, the TFC is back and ready for another positive run.
