Moving on up is what it looks for Leicester City lately

Leicester City 2, Manchester City 1
King Power Stadium, Leicester City

For manager Claude Puel all of a sudden he has witness some of the most amazing revivals in his career, as his Foxes astuteness have delivered back-to-back wins against two of Premiership most hardened of squads.

First with a win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, these return home and hand Manchester City their second consecutive defeat and third of the campaign, exposing the defending champions sudden slump that has made them succumb to so called minnows.

Unbelievable is what many will state of the feast performed today in King Power Stadium by a determined and suddenly inspired Foxes returning to their old winning ways and moving up the overall table.

The question arises after these wins places them in seventh place with 28 points and starting a race for the top six spots with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United for the top four spots, however these trail the United squad by four points.

Still this streak brings back memories of that fairy tale of a campaign Leicester City won, maybe these can stage a miraculous revival but I doubt these can catch or catapult the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool.

With back-to-back wins and upsets over two of the league so called giants, this streak can be an all-around confidence booster for Leicester City in the remainder of the campaign and see once again the return of that competitive and ambitious 2015-16 championship squad.

Getting back to yesterday’s match between both Cities, for Pep Guardiola Sky Blues netting an upset against troubled Crystal Palace over the weekend, this match meant a lot to net a win and get back in the race for the top with Liverpool winning its respective match.

This time Pep had in his initial eleven the likes of Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne from the get go and coming as overall favorites to get back in the winning column and start putting on the pressure on league leaders Liverpool.

However, this match was to see the best of these suddenly playing a hardened football these Fosse Boys are displaying in these two matches and dispatching their foes with no trouble at all by stepping up their defensive game.

For manager Claude Puel moves in his Fosse are paying off for the better and with these current set of results he is seeing his squad confidence moving up as well his squad generating the results he agreed to deliver.

As this match showed the might of the visiting Citizens might as a one two combination from Sergio Aguero to Bernardo Silva opened the score in the 14’ minute, not even five minutes passed when the home side even it up.

In the 19’ minute, Jamie Vardy found a wide-open Marc Albrighton that with a beautiful and well-calculated header tied it up and beating the likes of man City goalkeeper Ederson sending the whole of King Power into frenzy.

In the second half the number of arrivals by the Sky Blues and a near goal shoot by Kevin De Bruyne from long distance almost beat the likes of Kasper Schmeichel But this lad alertness prevented in what would been the tying goal.

The likes of Ricardo Pereira sentenced the whole match for the home side in the 81’ minute with a beauty of a shoot that left the whole Citizens 11 astonished and looking to mount a comeback the Blues defense stepped up for their second upset.
