The peoples club is up in arms and ready to
take over the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland by storm, in making a decent
run, and maybe situate itself atop the league table with a notable finish that
can earn them the league Shield.
Nothing is impossible on the eve of another
campaign in the Republic of Ireland Premiership, looking as contested as ever and
with the reigning champions Dundalk FC, seeing an exodus of several of its top
players.
Maybe we can see a contest as well new squads
looking forward to take over the top as the new league champions.
This is it, for many squads and for the Gypsies
making a run, to overcome their last
campaign modest finish, still the way this club has reinforced itself on the
eve of a campaign, with its new faces- the Bohs future looks very promising.
For the Gypsies Boss Keith Long, enough
with the odd finishes and being near the league bottom spots, as this campaign
they are poised for much better position and reinforcing itself with new players
and others making a homecoming to the colossus of Phibsborough.
After seeing the competition reinforce, the
Gypsies front office took matters seriously and started getting new faces
alongside of keeping some of its experienced players among its top five to make
front to a challenging year.
As Manager Long demanded more talent ahead and
to make his squad a contender and one eleven not to mess with, as the club
opened up its wallet and started getting the necessary talent for the Gypsies to
a successful turnaround in this 2017.
With a vision in the club future, Keith
Long promoted three of his U 17/19 academy prodigies in defenders Warren O’
Hora and Dominic Peppard and midfielder Dean Casey.
Reinforcing the defensive backfield with Goalkeeper
Greg Murray after three seasons in Shelbourne, returning to Dalymont, defender
Ron Cornwall coming from the Shamrock Rovers.
Another area of need was the midfield and
getting new players and adding some creativity and more depth to their attack,
with Fuad Shule, Jamie Doyle, Phillip Gannon, Dinny Corcoran, Kaleem Simons,
Oscar Brennan and Keith Ward.
So far, the Gypsies negotiated arduously with
squads of the likes of St. Patrick’s Athletic, Shelbourne, Longford Town, Derry
City and Cabinteely, to get these talented men to head up their midfield
attack.
Very well adding two new strikers to its attacking
corps, Manager Long made a bold move to get Dinny Corcoran from Sligo Rovers and
Kaleem Simon from Longford Town; the Bohs have addressed their needs in their
roster.
Alongside the return of several of its most
important players from last campaign, the Phibsborough Boys are ready to make a
one of a kind campaign in this upcoming edition of the SSE Airtricity League of
Ireland.
With this squad, the Gypsies are preparing
to offer an amazing campaign and looking forward to add some trophies to its
halls in Dalymont Park as well trying to capture a European spot at the end of
this campaign.
This can the year of the Cumann Peile Bóithéamaigh!
