Looking forward to another exciting
campaign in the City of Mary, as the Boys of the Montreal Impact are one resilient
and fighting machine that in every campaign they never cease to surprise us.
After last campaign almost caressing the
league final and losing it to their cross the 401 foes the TFC, Le Gars are
back to make all sorts of noise and make their best efforts to get back this
time to the league grand finale.
Like always, the Saputo clan vision and
push at work arduously, to build a contender on the eve of another contested
campaign in the works in this edition of Major League Soccer.
So far, for its Boss Mauro Biello its
business as usual, after making a definite list of who will return to this club
and releasing some players, it was not an easy descicison for the Impact lead
man.
Still everything has a reason and plan that
for him envisioned for this squad to become an all-around winner at the end and
see if this time they can be the first ever-Canadian squad to win the league
cup as this has become his ultimate of goals.
The list includes kepper Maxime Crepeau,
defenders Laurent Ciman, Victor Cabrera, Hassoun Camara, Ambroise Okongo and
Kyle Fisher, the midfielder’s core Marco Donadel, Hernan Bernardello, Callum
Mallace, Ignacio Piatti and Andres Romero with Matteo Mancosu as the lone
striker.
Very well assuring some players in Louis
Beland- Goyette, Ballou Jean Ives Tabla,
Wandrille Lefevreand Dominick Oduro and Eric Kronberg, Le Gars are rounding up their
troops with some valuable players to become a competitive squad
The dealing continues for this club and
always looking to Europe or South America to reinforce its core, the arrival of
another midfielder from Italian side Bologna a man of many battles in several European
leagues and the national Swiss team.
With Blerim
Džemaili the Swiss national will add more depth and dynamism to the Montreal
attack in its midfield accompanying Piatti and company in making the Le Gars
attack one to be feared in league circles.
Another addition in defense is Chris Duvall acquired
via a trade with newcomer Minnesota United and making headlines in the league super
draft with Nick Puy and homegrown player Shamit Shome, to conclude this squad
is shaping up as an all-around winner.
That does not mean that the buck will stop here for
the Impact in adding more depth to this squad and making once again a banner of
a campaign, very well for Manager Mauro Biello making some moves into his
formations.
As you are aware that for the Montreal squad President
Joey Saputo the skies the limit and maybe we can see a big name in this squad
roster as the day the arrival of Didier Drogba made headlines when he arrived
at Saputo Stadium.
The Impact will honor its name in this campaign if
everything goes their way by displaying a one of a kind and dynamic football
that can lead this squad to the promise land of the postseason and lookout
competition.
This group has become a great competitor and one
eleven that display a wonderful football worthy of a European squad for its
style, still some areas of need are in its defense both in adding more
defenders and a top of the line keeper.
Still for the Saputo’s and its team, these looking for
more talent and adding a striker to reinforce the attack, the defensive core
and seeing how the midfield is one complete unit, the Montreal Impact is up and
ready to front a competed 2017.
The forecast for the Montreal Impact in this campaign,
if everything goes well and no setbacks, they can finish atop the Eastern Conference
and make it once again into their conference finals in the postseason, I will
not be surprised of seeing Le Gars in the league final.
