That prevented this Cinderella
squad of uncorking and enjoying its bubbly, by putting an abrupt stop to their
celebrations, courtesy of their spoiling hosts.
Being among some of
the headliners besides the celebrations by the Blues with a win over United at
their home, one of the most curious cases was.
A sort of homecoming
was among many things tabloids were commenting of how the Foxes goalie Kasper
Schmeichel, coming to Old Trafford as an almost champion. A sort of a reminiscent
picture of his father times at the Theater of Dreams, when he played many
glorious afternoons and winning many shields at Old Trafford.
Him witnessing as a
lad his father abilities and talent later on influenced his son
infant years. after wondering and playing in this colossus tunnels and now returning as a professional
in the field.
On the other side of
the story, the Red Devils Boss speaking during the course of the week of
preventing the Foxes pleasure of becoming all around Premiership champions and
doing the impossible of denying such pleasures.
At the end, this
match could been won by the Red Devils after a series of missed opportunities at
the posts defended with an all-around heroism by the Foxes goalie Schmeichel
all afternoon long.
As well the fighting
Foxes coming back with a brilliant played that beat United defender Marcos Rojo
and defender Wes Morgan once again put his best of efforts and making the match
even at one goal apiece.
Seen this score as an
opportune one after the hosts opened the hostilities with an early goal from
Anthony Martial that could lifted the Red Devils with an important win.
For the Leicester
City squad with two matches left in the campaign, one to be played at home in
King Power Stadium and the other at Stamford Bridge to play two hardened squads.
For Leicester City
Manager Claudio Rainieri being back to the drawing board and business as usual,
as he will try to get the celebrations back and going wildly. This off course, when they consummate
the feat at home over a Toffee squad.
Considered now as one
ultimate feat for the Italian seeking his first ever shield in his career as
manager and one that will become foremost and very illustrious in years to come.
The city of Leicester
has to wait for the result between the Tottenham Spurs and the Chelsea Blues on
a match schedule for Monday as the whole of Leicestershire, will become
a big time supporter of the Stamford Bridge chaps.
At the end, this
match overshadowed by a doubtful foul by Danny Drinkwater over Memphis Depay
and this being the excuse for the red card. Disallowing the Foxes winger not only for one game but for the remaining matches of the campaign.
In what United
faithful protested loudly, asking a penal PK to referee Michael Oliver who
awarded it as a simple a foul outside the area to the displeasure of thousands
cheering for the Trafford hosts.
Hail for the Leicester
City soon to be champions and with such an authority will make history they
have been writing in this surprising and outstanding campaign not recommended to
those with weak health conditions.
For now, no bubbly to
be drank in the locker rooms as they wait at Leicester City and King Power
Stadium as they did so patiently all these years for this impossible moment,
long live the champion soon to be!
Leicester City they will
Rock You, my friends!
