The Hammers bold statement and thrilling farewell to Upton Park

Not in our house, especially when the Hammers where leaving a piece of their history behind and bid goodbye to their one and only colossus. With a great show of force and might over a top of the line rival in Manchester United.

The Hammers put a dent on the determined Manu Boys seeking an easy win and on top being the all-around spoilers of the grand fete at Upton Park. As this match considered as farewell homage to the colossus located in Green Street and Upton Park.

Boleyn Grounds was to see its final match of its beloved Irons, in this history-filled venue witness to many years of victories and sorrows from its Academy of Football and now will became a part of their historic and glorious past.

Imagine if this colossus would speak, the insurmountable number of stories it would tell us of time it witness since this club became a part of Premiership.

As many saw it as the Hammers day, which was not in the minds and plans of their arch-rivals, the other ones with the United name and called the Red Devils. Coming with one thing in mind and a win would be considered as icing on the cake as well been the spoilers of the party at Upton Park.

At the end, nothing went in Van Gaal way with his Manchester Boys who saw their lead shrink with a reaction from the Irons who made honor to their name and sealed it with style and much witnessed authority.

By proving to the visiting and always dangerous, Red Devils wrong, in the Irons playing an ambitious football all ninety minutes long and never giving up on their quest to surrender any points to the visiting Manchester Boys. Call it karma or whatever, but the losers being the Red Devils along of not getting their hopes up on assuring that coveted fourth spot.

Something so cherished and almost on the grasp of Louis Van Gaal squad and considered as vital for the Dutch Boss of the visiting squad. Seeing at the end how the locals reacted and furious close out with fireworks of their own to close a chapter in Boleyn Grounds with a high note.

Very well at the beginning of the match how the number of bubbles were on the air adorning the exit of the players from the tunnel to the grounds on a very loud and emotional night for the West Ham players and its fans alike.

After the players from both squads came out from the tunnel and showered with a barrage of bubbles symbolizing the Hammers battle song with a loud and euphoric stadium in the background.

One thing the Irons had in mind the Manu squad if they already beat us in FA, but not today on a very especial day and our party living up forever in their minds and very high for years to come, doing it with a passionate display of wonderful  football.

At the end, the Hammers show off mettle like no other and certainly are showing off a much better game and hunger that can get them into next campaigns into Premiership elite, this squad has all the essence of a winner.

With a match left as a visitor, West Ham can wrap up a great campaign with a win over Stoke at Britannia and ready itself for next the 2016-17 season to make all sorts of impact in the league table and maybe see a possible shield of a campaign.

A win is a win and a meritorious one with a five goal match were both squads never gave up but at the end the hosts came up with a nice 3-2 win over a belligerent Manchester United, at the end what a win and display of heroism and wills from the Irons.
