Here we go Middlesbrough
once again to the ranks of the English Premier League, where your appointment with
destiny awaits you after a long seven-year absence. Once again, the home of the
Smoggies, Riverside Stadium will brace itself to see once again the action of top-flight
football and its one of a kind spectacle of Premiership!
After last campaign
in Championship where they almost got their pass to the big circuit, back in Wembley,
when they saw their fortunes dwindle with a horrid 2-0 loss to Norwich City and
being denied their pass.
This campaign was a
different story and being a contender among the top four in Championship League,
they sealed their promotion pass today, with a 1-1 draw at Riverside to their pleasure
of their followers.
Not this time was the
motto of the locals and showing off a meritorious draw at home against a
hardened and surging Brighton Hove and Albion. It is here when the Middlesbrough
Boys held a 10- man Gulls squad at bay- until the end of the match.
Turning the whole of Riverside
Stadium into a madhouse or sanitarium, whatever you want to call it when
players and fans alike started in unison the noisiest of celebrations for their
boys all around achievements.
A controversial
figure at the helm of the Smoggies, Manager Aitor Karanka really took the reins
of this club and after his two years and a half in charge at Teesside. His feat
of netting a promotion with a sound second place behind champion Burnley FC and
via a direct pass to play at one of the world best leagues.
We can say it was
mission accomplished for the Spaniard Boss.
Very well, for Manager
Karanka, who attributes his success and expresses many thanks to this club Chairman
Steve Gibson for giving him the opportunity, after lacking the experience and
at the end he delivered results. By showing off his gratefulness to his players
and the whole of Boro fans.
Making Boro Manager Aitor
Karanka a happy man for now and looking forward to a much-competed campaign ahead
for his Boys who will see how will the club directives will see into making
this Yorkshire squad into one serious competitor in the ranks of Premiership.
Teesside will undoubtedly
live up the excitement of EPL and its followers seeing how their Boys can upset
and play the role of spoilers to the so-called Big guns of this league and
maybe we can see another fairy tale as the one lived up recently.
Nothing written in
football and this club with a little luck and a continuance of its hunger,
maybe it can make a successful run not only into the Europeans spots but also
in the league top, but for now they must focus of staying put.
As well making a
decorous presentation and run into the next EPL 2016-17 campaigns, showing off their
mettle and ambitions that put them into the top ranks, hail for the Boys from
Boro and welcome back.
