Suddenly we have a contender
and seeing an awakening giant in the lads of Leicester City struggling in the
early parts of the campaign that costed their manager Craig Shakespeare his job
after seeing a series of pathetic results.
After Shakespeare dismissal,
the Foxes directives did not hesitated to bring a new man to its helm in the
likes of former Southampton manager Claude Puel.
With a squad being so
near the abyss of relegation, so far the arrival of the Frenchman, has been
like a total blessing in the eyes of its owner and its fan base seeing a total
turnaround from bad to positive.
Leicester City with
this win in midweek play against the one and only Saints, seen as a sort of
homecoming to their manager Claude Puel returning to face his former employer
and netting a valuable win.
That win was seen as
a valuable one and fourth in a consecutive form situating the Foxes in tenth
place in the overall table and returning home to face a troubled Crystal Palace
in a match that despite their foes negative campaign.
These should not underestimate
their nemesis as I state that there is no such thing than an easy foe.
As the foxes coming
to play at King Power Stadium and having the advantage of playing at home, for
Claude Puel this match has all the elements of a tough challenge and with a win
the momentum of this squad will be sky high.
Yes by beating the
Eagles as the odds of playing an underdog, these matches mount a lot of
pressure in the so-called top guns and the City Boys come loaded with a lot of
confidence and a recovery in in its initial eleven notables.
Still the road to
recovery all of a sudden has come with a splash and so far these are well
situated in tenth place in the overall table and with a win this weekend the
Foxes can move another spot towards the top.
A squad accustomed
now to handle all sorts of pressures after that fairy tale of a campaign were
they won the league shield, this edition we are all aware of who may be the
overall winner in the Citizens unstoppable run.
However, the possibilities
of staging a comeback and maybe rallying towards the end of this championship
to seize a European spot and maybe a decent run in the FA Cup, this will be a
highlight in the new era.
As you recall City run
in the Champions League, these did get near the final rounds and despite their
former manager, Claudio Rainieri troubles in league play, these manage to put a
one of kind performances in this competition.
In addition to the
club overnight success these will have to step up their game and raise it with
a little bit of dynamism if these are to succeed before the end of the first half
with a remarkable record and position.
As the going gets
tough for them in their upcoming schedule, after their game with Crystal Palace
their next matches considered as a walk in the park with back-to-back games against
Manchester City at and Manchester United at home.
Positive results can consolidate
Leicester City might and close the year on a high note.
Once again, the
winning spirit and hunger of competition and all around determination from Leicester
City squad is back and looking unbeatable, these can really ride high and finish
among the top six in Premiership table.
For now, it is all
thumbs up in King Power Stadium, as their Boys are back.
