One by riding out the
danger zone and with a notorious win that after this weekend disappointing draw
against the Cherries, now they made their case shown with a one of a kind win.
A win with a sigh of
relief, but for now the Eagles have soared off the infamous relegation spots
and now enjoys briefly their seventeenth place positon with 14 points.
With matches pending
for both West Brom, West Ham and Swansea the outcome of these squads results
will depend on Crystal Palace stay out of the last three spots of relegation.
As the Watford
Hornets came to these parts of London Town Selhurst Park, the odds of a
positive result by Marco Silva and company was a big possibility by tangling against
a troubled Glaziers squad.
The odds of a
positive result for the Orns were immense.
After jumping on the scoreboard
early with a goal with just three minutes in the clock with a goal from Daryl
Janmaat, the visiting Watford Boys were cruising to an easy win over their
hosts and making it difficult for the former national team manager Roy Hodgson.
With a nice pass
inside the area from Richardlison to a well-placed Daryl Janmaat he beat the
likes of the Glaziers keeper Julian Speroni for the 1-0 and a lead these held
for good 86 minutes until the locals awakening.
Until that horrible play
from Tom Cleverley in the 87 minute that earned him a red card and left his
Hornets with just ten men in the pitch, something that the Eagles took well in
their advantage to rally in the agonizing minutes of the match.
For Crystal Palace,
seeing a squad filled with a constellation of stars, especially in its initial eleven,
the way this squad was managed in the past is now becoming a forgotten thing
after the arrival of Roy Hodgson who slowly but surely is delivering changes.
This time the men
that made a whole lot of difference were Bakary Sako in the 89 scoring a beauty
and three minutes later followed by James MacArthur in the 92, the Eagles
taking advantage of the extra time on injury.
Voila delivers the
fatal blow to Silva and company that saw his lead evaporates in the final minutes
of this match as well losing three points of gold in his quest of making a dash
towards the top spots in Premiership.
I must say all the
right moves made a world of difference for a couple of squads today in Premiership
in its midweek schedule, as Roy Hodgson sending Sako and McArthur as substitutes
over Cabaye and Fosu- Mensha.
This man showed off
his skills and talent to see if he can retrieve with his Crystal Palace Eagles
campaign in the end and remain in the top circuit for another campaign, but his
aims are to see his squad shine and catapult to a finish above the top ten
spots in the overall table.
A wondrous win for
the Glaziers who go to Leicestershire to play at King Power Stadium to a momentum-ridden
Leicester City as a visitor and with a positive result can uplift their
confidence sky high.
