With a rhythm of Samba,
the Liverpool Reds played a one of a kind match in the colossus of Brighton, as
a sold out attendance saw in disbelief how the visiting Merseyside Boys put on
an offensive display all afternoon long.
As both Roberto
Firmino and Phillipe Couthino are giving a taste, of how the Verde Amarelha
will be displaying their one of a kind and joyful football that has
characterized the South Americans.
Today two of its members
gave a demonstration of what to expect of the Brazilian National squad.
With Roberto Firmino
returning to Jürgen Kloop initial eleven, he did not let his Boss down with a
pair of scores and one of them being from his compatriot Phillipe Couthino who
put himself in the count with a lone goal.
Still the double by
Firminho and the opening goal by Emre Can, the Reds most desired man in the
Cules organization of Barcelona, no wonder the Catalonians have such insistence
and obsession of making the Brazilian a part of their arsenal.
After Couthino displaying
the football he is accustomed to perform and all afternoon long being a nightmare
for the Brighton defense and being all over Mat Ryan posts, the Gulls keeper.
For Jürgen Kloop this
match meant a lot and for him the sum of points in every match is an incentive
to keep in contention despite seeing their cross Merseyside neighbors success,
the hopes of Liverpool do not secede.
At the contrary, the
Kop Boys are on a positive run and playing a wondrous game of football in every
match and despite the Citizens lead over them by eleven points, the persistence
of Kloop is starting to show off with a healthy squad.
By keeping pace and
within eleven points behind the Citizens their utmost desire for the German and
his Merseyside bunch is to surpass the Etihad Boys at the end of the campaign
as well perform in Champions.
in this match Kloop
sent a very strange but effective formation of 3-5-1-1 with a lone Roberto
Firmino accompanied by the amazing Mohamed Salah that despite he was not in the
scoring sheet but still very present with his assistances and one of a kind game.
Whenever Salah touched,
the ball the Gulls defense went scrambling to stop him cold but his sense of
delivering was not quell all afternoon long as in the second goal he was very
present with a pass to Couthino for Firmino deliverance in the 31.
The third goal came
in the 48 when Amazonian duo delivered with Firmino scoring his second of the
afternoon as the Liverpool 11 was poised to deliver a scandal of a match with a
5-1 rout.
For the Brighton Boys
only goal came in the 51 via a Glenn Murray penal.
Finally seeing a
reaction for all of the Seagulls faithful coming alive, their celebratory mood
was to last shortly when Phillipe Couthino on a still play he nmade the Albion
wall jump and he sent the ball under to the fourth score.
Once again the likes
of Liverpool’s number ten, the Amazonian shoot was meet by Brighton defender
Lewis Dunk in the 89 two minutes after his score, closing another successful afternoon
and focusing on making a strong run before the end of the first half.
If Jürgen Kloop and company
maintain a healthy squad and positive run in the rest of the campaign and no
slip ups and playing positively top football to squads of the likes of Man
City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manu and Tottenham.
We may have a top-notch
contender and with a Citizens series of blunders, the race for first can see a total
transformation and the Reds can be on top, but at the end is too early to call.
