A Boro painted Tees- Wear Derby

When it comes to Derbies, Sunderland always has an edge over its cross Tyne- Daly foes, now after a long time of not staging those always fought off Tees- Wear contests, suddenly the Boys from Boro marked their Premiership return as its victors.

Quite a while it has been seven enduring years to be exact for the Boro followers of not being able to witness a Premiership match since this squad sudden plunge into the ranks of the always-infamous Championship League.

That was then and now the present is very alive and seeing how these new Smoggies are making a challenge in its return to the big circuit as well looking forward of many years of a long lasting stay, if things go the way their Boss Aitor Karanka desires.

Still the way the Boro squad started this campaign in a positive way, after drawing in thier first meeting and now a win, so far this squad has a good spot in the league table with four points and its starting eleven making wondrous performances in the field.

Ask that to an inspired Christian Stuani, who performed a one of a kind match with a double set of scores that silenced a whole venue in the Stadium of Light and exposed this squad several flaws to remedy in its eleven.

As the afternoon went to a very inspired and brilliant Middleborough who never seemed to end its struggle and its formidable game that lifted them at the end with a one of a kind win and a very raucous one. Taking round one in what will be a much disputed and fought off set of Derbies, and with today’s win as a visitor in the Black Cats home, they along their followers took home those all-around bragging rights.

With the visitors getting ahead with Stuani first goals in the 13th, this proved to be the twist of luck as later on the Uruguayan came back and with a beautiful play like those already rehearsed in practice to convert it into the go ahead  and winning goal.

In the second half the Black Cats offensive game and attack came alive, after many tries and attempts sent by its Manager David Moyes to push the Boro backfield, as the locals persistence paid off finally in the 71st.  When an opportune Patrick Van Aanholt pushed the ball after Brad Guzan shortly let go of the ball for the Dutch fortunes.

Despite the barraging series of attacks by the Sunderland, the visitors managed to get things going with a series of occasional attacks and controlling the ball in the middle of the field and its backfield doing a superb job of holding off any counter attacks by the Black Cats.

At the end the Boro squad persevere and netted its first win of the campaign and certainly seen as a shoot in the arm for the positive and opening the prospects of many memorable afternoons in this edition of the English Premier League.

This win for sure will have a positive effect going into their next compromise at the Hawthorns to face Tony Pulis and his Albion Boys going to play as a visiting entity. A win will mean and bring out the strong character of the Smoggies playing as visitors.

So far so good for Aitor Karanka, even though it is the second match of the campaign for Boro it will be a step in the right direction for him and his squad posting back-to-back wins and adding points to the cause in order to survive Premierships first half.

Welcome back to EPL Middlesbrough F.C.as good show on netting round one in the Tees- Wear Derby.
