Jürgen Kloop side got
a taste of how football played with ambition and many determinations taken by
an inspired initial eleven put in the field by its foe Sean Dyche. After the way, those amazing Clarets outfoxed
the visiting Liverpool Reds coming as an all-around favorite to win this match,
wrong they were when they underestimated their hosts.
After seeing how
Burnley’s Boss set up the right initial eleven and put a nice formation that
put in ridicule and exposed a weak Reds backfield, putting their German Boss to
work overtime and net a couple more defenders to reinforce his side.
If Liverpool is to
put its aims in the Barclays Premier League top and shields, it had better
reinforce its weak spots especially in its defense, because these can be the
difference maker.
This writing is not
about the Anfield Boys but the recently promoted Burnley squad, after their brief
campaign two years ago in the big circuit, this time the Clarets squad is for
real and possibly playing in the remainder of this campaign a top-notch
football.
For the way the
locals played inspired and supported vehemently by their fans in every minute
of this match, that was enough for Sean Dyche Boys to seal the deal and put on
a show at home in Turf Moor in a joyous afternoon of football.
Still the way this
game turned up to be was at the end very cruel for the visiting Reds, as the
tale of the tape shows off their dominance in possession of the ball with 80.4
versus 19.2 of the locals, with more touches and passes at the end the visitors
were in total control.
As Jürgen Klopp saw
how his squad shooting attempts totaling 26 times, out shooting their hosts and
with five of those on target, the specter of scoring a goal never seemed possible
in an unforgettable afternoon of
football at Lancashire.
On the other hand,
for Burnley they just needed a couple of shoot and these were on target being
just the necessary attempts from its strikers Sam Vokes and Andre Gray, scoring
their ever first goals in the English Premier League.
As Sam started the
hostilities and sent a wakeup call to the visitors defense with a nice shoot
for the 1-0 with just two minutes in the match, later came the another strike from
Andre Gray in what became the go ahead and winning goal.
With this win puts in
evidence the quality and chivalry as an English Manager an vocal opponent of
foreigners to take over English clubs helms, in today’s match he put in
evidence how his value and bonuses will be elevated within time.
For Kloop Boys still
not giving up and with plenty of time, they tried their best and dominating the
whole match, the local’s backfield alongside its midfield just holds on and perseveres
until the last minute.
Very well, the 4-4-2
formation sent by Burnley Boss Sean Dyche that really worked wonders in keeping
the Liverpool strikers at bay despite the many opportunities they created in
their area and just became simple attempts.
Not even with Daniel
Sturridge, Nathaniel Clyne, Roberto Firminho, Phillip Couthino, Adam Lallana
and Giorgino Winaldjum these little could do to rescue their squad going down
in shambles as the clock marked the last minutes of this match.
Very well the embarrassment
and upset performed to them in what seemed to be an easy win, that the Reds
should played with more ambition and not underestimating their opponent as I always
state that there is no such thing than an easy foe.
Surprise, surprise is
what the Liverpool Reds experienced after shocked by one of those so-called
small entities and Burnley did it with all around style and class to net their first
win of the campaign and marking a superb day for their Boss Sean Dyche.
