After a trophy less drought at Tallaght,
for the Hoops Boss Stephen Bradley its business as usual and this campaign, he
and his bunch are looking to be in the league spotlights.
So far, the Shamrock Rovers top executives
are in wheeling and dealings frenzy and by netting important players to their
ranks and especially after betting on one important asset, youth.
The arrival of new faces and giving their
own academy and other squads prodigies, are the opportunity, the Rovers are
betting on lifting their campaign with a much spectacular twist and among the
spotlight.
So far, the list includes former Dundalk
wonders in Michael Connor and Ronan Finn, with Aaron Bolger, Dean Dillon and
Luke Kielly the Hoops bet on their graduates.
Adding to their roster is experience in
David McAllister, Ryan Connolly, Paul Corry, Daniel Devine, and Roberto Lopes
as well seeing the return of David Webster, Darren Menan, Sean Heaney and Simon Madden.
Very well adding a couple of experienced
keepers in Tomer Chencisky and Kevin Horgan, this are will be well taken care
of before the campaign starts.
The Hoops are reinforcing every position
possible in their squad to front in what seems to be another contested edition
of the League of Ireland, adding defenders, midfielders and strikers to its
core.
As many of the Hoops followers cannot wait
for this campaign to start and see their new star filled initial eleven
performing wonders in the field and maybe delivering trophies, something not
seen from quite some time at the colossus of South Dublin.
Still the arrival of new players with
experience and youth will level this squad into an all-around contender and
maybe return to its old glory days and start generating that lost excitement
once enjoyed in league circles.
The idea of newly promoted Stephen Dooley
from interim to full time manager is one achievement performed by this chap and
now he is under the obligation of making an all-around statement in league
play.
The need of playing a one of a kind
football and overcome their deficiencies they had last campaign and this time
their performances deliver the much needed wins over squads of the likes of
Dundalk, Cork City, Derry City and especially the Bohemians.
With seriousness and consistency the
Shamrock Rovers can perform a grand campaign and aspire for the league title,
still they should be on the lookout to capitalize in every opportunity arises
for them whenever their foes stumble.
At the end this 2017 Shamrock Rovers is up
and ready to put on a campaign and overcome the oddities they endured last
campaign were they played with an amazing record but on the road they must
stepped up a notch.
