With the preseason under way and so far
looking good and with renewed hopes of returning to their old lost glories, the
Claret and Cobalt is ready to start something big this 2017!
For third year Real Salt Lake Manager Jeff
Cassar its back to business in Rio Tinto Stadium and looking forward to make
more of an impacting campaign with his Boys after last year they barely
squeezed to the playoffs.
So far, with renewed hopes and making
several changes in its roster, the Royals are poised to deliver an amazing
campaign putting last campaign oddities behind and this time assure from the
beginning of the campaign a spot for the postseason.
This upcoming campaign looks like the Salt
Lake Boys are ready to return to their old glories and make it all the way in
disputing both their conference and league finals.
Recently in the Rose City invitational
played in majestic Providence Park, the Real Boys look very alive and
offensively amazing after tying to the tournament winner Portland at three
goals as well with Minnesota.
The workload for Manager Cassar is not an
easy task as well the number of corrections to perform to this group is one
serious one but not difficult, due to the
talents.
Despite some notable players leaving Rio
Tinto, still the new blood coming to play in Sebastian Saucedo, Matt Van Oekel,
Jose Hernandez- homegrown player, Albert Rusnak- Groningen, Chad Barrett, David
Horst, Luis Silva and Liverpool’s- Brooks Lennon.
The prospects of a grand campaign at Salt
Lake are enormous, with an all-around twist for the Royals, but the task ahead
for Manager Cassar look tough but not difficult, and improvisations when needed
to front whatever challenge comes along.
After last campaign disappointing finish
and early exit from the Western Conference postseason, this is it for Jeff
Cassar to deliver an exciting and filled with trophies campaign.
At the end the RSL will be back to its old
self, a squad accustomed to see in the spotlight and with an all-around dynamic
game that has always shown in the field, this upcoming campaign looks like one
to follow this club closely.
By far, the commitment from the whole squad
is amazing and very promising that without any doubt the Boys of Real Salt Lake
will have a one of a kind campaign and finish in a notable spot in the Western
Conference overall table.
A nice fourth place finish the RSL can net
in this campaign and get into the postseason and with luck and no injuries and
an inspired Rimando and company, the Utah Boys can fly high, but it is up to
them.
Nothing written for this bunch but one
thing that they do not care what the odds state, as they are committed to total
excellence.
