This is a very
important year for the lads of the U, as their Boss Jim Curtin is trying to
make a one of a kind statement with his Boys and try to make back-to-back
appearances in the league postseason.
As this squad is
looking forward to be a contender throughout the whole campaign, to become a
respected, and at the same time a feared entity in the always-competed Eastern
Conference.
So far, in the
preseason, the Philadelphia squad is looking very good and with its new blood,
as the prospects of enduring a top of the line campaign will not be an issue
for the new initial eleven that the Union sends on opening day.
With a squad busy
wheeling and dealing in the winter break, the Union has raised its hopes of
making it all the way not only in the league playoffs but to the league finals
and try to net that always coveted MLS Shield.
Still this squad
after last campaign luxurious reinforcement with USMNT Alejandro Bedoya and
this accompanied by other Union national squad prospects in Chris Pontius and
Kegan Rosenberry.
Leadership will not
be an issue for the U Boys and with this threesome of aces that can inject
plenty of confidence to the new players in the squad and the new ones to come.
One thing for sure
this squad has reinforce itself in every possible spot in its initial eleven to
make front in what will it be another edition of Major League Soccer and its
best with its new squads.
By seeing how all of
these are reinforcing themselves to put on a display of dominance throughout
the whole campaign, the Union will be seeing in one of its conference foes the
Atlanta United squad already reinforced in every position.
Its why if the
competition is good the Philly Boys have to be much better, as their Boss Jim
Curtin has already preparing in what seems to be another challenging year with
his U.
As Chester,
Pennsylvania colossus Talen Energy Stadium will see the likes of new faces to
make an impact and deliver many joys to the likes of this squad followers
looking to have an all-around campaign filled with excitement.
The arrival of Ogulin
Onyewu, Fafa Picault, Jay Simpson, Giliano Wijnaldum, Haris Medunjanim, Adam
Najem, Marcus Epps, gives the Union squad plenty to dream of putting on a
display of a one of a kind and competitive football.
As in every preseason
match for Manager Curtin seeing the results in the field and development of his
players ahead of the new campaign that is just around the corner.
One of the
things he has shown off is the excitement he has shown off towards this new campaign
to come.
By seeing plenty of
improvement and adaptation from the new faces in his initial lineup and giving him
the prospects of a sensational campaign this coming 2017.
It will not be easy,
as the Philadelphia Union will be opening all of its first matches against their
conference foes; still the drive to excel well instituted by Manager Jim Curtin
ahead of this new MLS campaign.
At the end, the
Philly Boys can be among the top six squads and if oddities will not hit them, but
a possible fourth place finish for this squad will be an ideal one to deliver
at the end.
One thing for sure,
this squad will make it into the league postseason.
