So close and yet so
far from the grand fete of the league final, still the people from across the Hudson
always manage to make it into the league postseason and making it all the way
to its semifinals.
With a heartbreaking
loss in last campaign playoffs against their cross the border foes the Montreal
Impact, both New York squads were eliminated by two Canadian representatives and
these made it into their first eastern conference finals.
Once again, the prospects
of making it into the final stages of the league final left as another campaign
left in the edge and with another disappointing run and no finals to account
for.
Seeded in the always
contested and difficult Eastern Conference and with a cross the pike neighbor
in the NYCFC, the competition of netting the Big Apple bragging rights in its
disputed and much fought derbies.
That was then and now
it’s a new year and with much better promises to another spectacular and promising
campaign in the works for their Manager Jesse Marsch looking forward to erase
the bad impression of last campaign postseason fracas.
Still that was seen
as an experience were Manager Marsch and his squad can learn and now focus in a
much brighter future where he and his squad can raise the bar and this time be
the merrier to be in the always elusive finals.
For a squad that
never shows off any struggles during the whole campaign and with always finishing
in a notable position at the end, the Red Bulls so far in the campaign are
showing off a new approach to winning and displaying new ambition.
After the sqaud did
made some changes and trades during the preseason, the arrival of new faces and
betting on youth, the arrival of new faces to Red Bull Arena will be the
highlight of another successful campaign.
As the colossus of Cape
Street in Harrison, New Jersey, welcomes the likes of Hassan Ndam and Michael
Amir Murillo, the arrival of Zeiko Lewis in the Superdraft, the promotion of
USL prospects Rafael Diaz and Dan Metzger.
Put in evidence of
what direction this club is going to and with a couple of Homegrown Players in
Arum Basuljevic and Evan Louro, the outlook of this club campaign looks very exciting
in the eyes of its followers.
So far, in the preseason,
the Red Bulls are looking good and with tis Boss Jesse Marsch looking to
improve his club tactically and making it very exciting in displaying a tough and
beautiful game in the field.
As Manager Marsch
seeing a few of his valuable elements called up for National Team duties, he
has to maneuver and improve successfully during the campaign and without having
his playmakers in his eleven to overcome the odds.
With their first test
of fire and a continuance in the always prestigious and hard to compete CONCACAF
Champions League facing a familiar league foe the Vancouver Whitecaps on February
22.
The Red Bulls are looking
forward to a win at home and not allowed any liberties to the vising Canadians
for their second leg show off at BC Place where they can wrap it up and advance
into CCL Semifinals.
At the end for the
New York Red Bulls Manager Jesse Marsch, his squad is on the right path and
looking good in his attempt to go all the way but first things first in league
and international compromises getting the best of results.
