The Bray Wanderers grand feat in Oriel Park

Last campaign the Seagulls ended up with a high note and a notable winning streak that showed off this club potential an all-around fighting spirit to make a serious contender of this squad.

For Bray Manager Harry Kane its business as usual and looking forward to a stellar campaign that can net them a pass into the European spots if not go for the league shield if possible.

Still for this squad, well place in third place in the overall league table, tied with their latest victims and three-time league of Ireland champions, Dundalk FC.

With week seven of league play, the Gulls went to play at always difficult Oriel Park In Louth County and face the three time league champions and always invincible, Dundalk FC, a sort of match that seemed to be a bit difficult but not impossible.

However playing in the colossus of Louth County, the odds of netting win over its Lilywhites looked like one tough endeavor and the odds of netting a win as a visitor were placed as a bookie would of  twenty to one.

Coming to this match the Bray squad was coming from a three game winning streak.

With the momentum, the Seagulls took advantage of their condition of underdogs and starting what they do the best in playing a nice game of football and making the best of every opportunity to try to deliver in the right time.

As the match progressed, the Gulls were recipients of a couple of penalties to the dismay and disapproval of the Lilywhites Boss Stephen Kenny who became a vocal critic of the game official lack of criterion and judgment.

Suddenly we have a man that his career has revived for the best and it was for striker Gabe Mc Cabe who took matters into his own hands and delivered with a double that puts him so far in the campaign with nine goals.

As the Lilywhites Stephen O’ Donnell strike to give this match a certain contest at the end became all wrap up for the visitors when Ryan Brennan seal the deal for his Gulls in what became a surprise in the league of Ireland.

This win puts the Gulls in second place tied with eighteen points with their latest victims the Dundalk squad and nine points within striking distance from a high flying Cork City squad so far undefeated in this campaign.

A twist of fortunes for the Lilywhites, as their aim is to win and keep pace with the league leaders Cork City to get back to the top and seek a fourth consecutive league of Ireland shield and todays loss is a sort of wakeup call.

Very well, for Manager Kenny back to the drawing board in his try to stop this losing skid his Lilywhites are in and start something big.

In the case of the Bray Wanderers squad so far so good in their last performances, sowing off a five wins and just a couple of losses in the campaign, tied  in second place with Dundalk FC.

With their next match scheduled on Monday at home in Carlisle Grounds in Bray, the Gulls Boss is looking for a win against the Shamrock Rovers  and continue their move towards the top of the league.

These days, Europe is the word for the Seagulls looking forward to their readiness for international play as well continue advance in the overall league table and in the EA Cup.

The Cumann Peile Fánaithe Bhré can be the surprise of this campaign and so far, they are showing an absolute resolve to fly high in this edition of the SSE League of Ireland.
