Can this be the Shamrock Rovers year?

This campaign for Stephen Bradley and company it is necessary to start generating a more dynamic approach to their game by elevating it with more seriousness in contending race for the league shield.

After last campaign reaction in the end of the campaign and seizing the last European spot, the Hoops came so close to several cup finals, still these came short and seeing a continuance of their drought.

Still the Hoops are one resilient and perseverant squad and this campaign with another run in the knockout stages in the UEFA Europa League, these will be a bit busy juggling league, cup and international play.

As the aims for manager Stephen Bradley are to make a prolific run in the knockout stages of the Europa League and with the possibility of trying to reach the stage group and maybe be another Airtricity squad to do such feat.

By reinforcing their side and assuring the return of several of their notable players the Rovers are looking forward to make a run that can put them in the top spots and this time they are going to finish just in third place but in the top.

Despite the league state of competition, the Hoops are ready to display a one of a kind campaign and this time looking forward to make a run for the league shield and other shields in play.

For the Hoops, their main concern is opening day by playing in Dalymont Park in Phibsborough against their cross-town rivals the Bohemians.

In the so-called Dublin Derby and with the way, the Gypsies have reinforced their squad, with no doubt this will be a competitive game to watch.

As the Shamrock Rovers, their front office has been arduously at work to build a contender and get the ideal player to front the competition that in this 2018 campaign to start looks a bit tough and with challenges aplenty.

So far, a commitment from last campaign players like Luke Byrne, Kevin Horgan, Sam Bone, Gary Shaw, Brandon Miele, Graham Burke and Tomer Chencinski has extended their contracts towards this upcoming campaign.

In the transfers market, with new faces to reinforce the Hoops project for this new campaign are to reinforce its midfield with the defending champions Cork City Greg Bolger, Republic of Ireland U-21 midfielder Ethan Boyle from the Finn Harps.

Other additions are center back in Ally Gilchrist from Scottish side St. Johnstone and Raith Rovers winger Joel Coustrain to bring to four the numbers of players reinforcing the Tallaght side.

Once again for Stephen Bradley and his Rovers with a busy preseason, and looking forward of this club top netting him another player to his ranks and maybe see a positive start of the campaign in a high note.

At the end, the Shamrock Rovers will be in the headlines of the League of Ireland and with a little luck and great game from tier current crop of players and the new ones contributions we may have a run for the top spots in the league.
