Mark Hughes sentencing his own doom after another Potters loss

Not even playing at home Stoke City can deliver a win and very well against squads considered as weak in the case of Newcastle United that came to town and deliver an all-around upset to the home squad.

Ask that to an opportune man in the Geordies initial eleven Ayotze Perez.

This chap became the game hero and responsible of mounting more pressure on its foes manager after seeing another reversal of his fortunes and not making this squad a contender as he promised in the beginning of this campaign despite the monies spent.

With fans showing off papers calling for Hughes out and chants in unison asking for their manager dismissal as soon as possible and see a new face in the helm to maybe start a revival in Bet365 Stadium.

In the case of Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez this win uplifts his squad confidence and drives to start mounting a series of positive results that can lead to this squad salvation and maybe this is a good omen for the Geordies.

After all, in this 2018, they may change hands for the beater at the top and for their Spaniard Boss get the players he so much desires contrary to today nemesis that spent millions to reinforce this Staffordshire squad to contend for at least a European spot.

Despite the firepower, with this loss, Stoke City is within two points of the relegation spots in sixteenth place and a roster of unhappy players that are growing restless with lack of results and good leadership and notable results this club is lacking.

As last campaign, Mark Hughes was on a spot and this time results are speaking of his work so far and for him the time is not on his side.

Also before this match, the call from winger Xherdan Shaqiri to the whole of Stoke City fans to keep the faith and patience in the upcoming schedule he and his club have to reward the Potters faithful some much-needed wins.

Despite the call Bet 365 Stadium did not showed its best galas of a sold out with a many empty seats and this is cause of the situation the club is going through many of the fans are not to please with the latest wave of results their Potters are delivering.

Still do not count them out of contention or putting on a brave fight with several attempts saved by the Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow who made many important saves to the push of the locals as a Charlie Adam free kick and Choupo- Mouting shoot stopped.

As this was not a boring one but controversial at times as Kurt Zouma push inside the area over Dwight Gayle of Newcastle coming as a substitute in the 64, the ref just shook his head after seeing the play that the Stoke player just move back, despite the heated protests.

However, the play that brought down the whole of former Britannia down was through an error of midfielder Charlie Adams turning the ball in a bad pass that immediately the Magpies player Jacob Murphy took the ball and passed to Ayotze Perez for the lone goal.

Still the Potters saw a couple of opportunities to goal with Mame Biram Diouf involved and Saido Berainho, these at the end became close call for the Magpies defenders and keeper that became at the end the hero.

As Murphy cross from the right set the play that at the end became the winner for the visiting Magpies in the 73 minute as well put the Toon Boys four points away from the danger zone and in thirteenth place.

In the case of the Stoke City Potters, this loss became a heavy burden to them and in a situation not so favorable for them if they start a revival anytime soon, as this club is lacking a good direction and start a spark that can be sees an all-around revival.

If there is some magic left in Mark Hughes book, he had better apply it before it is too late and see this squad going down to the abyss of relegation, it will be a pity and embarrassment for this club without any doubt.
