Swansea determined to save its campaign

Nothing comes easy for the Swans as their survival in the top circuit depends purely in the game these display in the rest of the campaign by showing pure determination.

As the way, these did yesterday, putting a defensive gem and with an opportune goal on a squad that in the previous week dominated the likes of the unstoppable league leaders Manchester City.

The win for these low-flying Swans put the brakes on the Liverpool Reds momentum.

I mean an all-around spoiler at home and in front of their followers, seeing how their underdog’s status became a one of a kind spoiler to a squad known for its offensive might and today was annulated by one of the leagues worst backfields.

Also adding to injury is that the Liverpool side with Jürgen Kloop at the helm for quite some time and having one of the most explosives of frontal attacks with Mohamed Salah and Firminho, none of his strategies seemed to work.

Contrary to Swansea’s newcomer Boss Carlos Carvalhal in his third match, bein charge of this squad plagued by a parade of managers and odd results, the Portuguese strategies worked wonders all afternoon long.

With a 5-4-1 formation, his initial eleven would take advantage of the confidence ridden Liverpool squad, not counting on the initiative ridden and pep talk that manager Carvalhal addressed in the dressing room before the game start.

That talk uplifted the Swans spirits to an all-time high and displaying an amazing game of football in its base with a defensive strategy that worked wonders and at the end not letting the Merseyside squad to display its offensive might.

As the lone goal scored by one of the Swans defender via a pass from Federico Fernandez in the 40 minute being tis the lone shot at goal by the Swans in the whole half, despite the feat still this exposes the Welsh club lack of offensive might.

Something that the Liverpool squad many opportunities with Mohamed Salah in several times had the opportunity to put this match away and the ball going wide or missing its target,  I give kudos to the Swan goalkeeper Lukasz Fabiansky for his all-time heroics.

Along with his backfield these played a role in the shootout that give Lukasz a clean sheet and hs club a valuable win and netting three points of gold for the joy of their followers and tying with West Brom with 20 points and three away to exit relegation.

This match saw on one side the motivation and hunger shown in this match by the local Swans and opposite the visiting squad so frustrated that even its manager had a run in with a fan in the stands after the attendee heckling becoming annoying for the German.

The fights for survival in the relegation spots will be a race to follow up close in the remainder of this campaign and for the Swans new manager will be a challenge to prove his mettle and his worthiness of managing in Premiership.
