Keith Long aiming for a promising campaign

What a way to start the year with a little excitement as the one that brings the so called Dublin Derbies, when the Bohs open against their cross town rival the Shamrock Rovers.

Still let us give credit to the Gypsies dynamic man in its helm headed by manager Keith Long nominated by the League of Ireland Soccer Writers Association for Personality Award.

For Keith Long last campaign, he really showed himself after being with his bunch in the relegation spots fighting their ways to maintain themselves and at the end; they persevere to finish in the middle of the table.

Very well persevering and seeing an all-around revival, the Bohs saved themselves of going down to the relegation tubes but these came back and with total authority to stay put in the top circuit of Premiership.

Despite the recovery in the midst of the campaign, and the league dominance by the champions Leesiders unstoppable run, the Phibsboro bunch did stood its ground and for this 2018, they would like to come with a new aims.

The first step for the Dalymont directives is to try their best to get the majority of its players base they had last campaign and with new faces, maybe we can see a contender in these parts of Dublin Town.

Very well, try their best to finish in top three spots and seize a European spot, as their calendar as always looks tough but they overcome difficulty and succeed an echoing last campaign recovery by displaying sheer hunger and determination.

By far Bohemians FC has signed Ian Morris, Phillip Gannon, Dan Casey, Oscar Brennan, Dan Byrne and eighteen players already inked new deals, plus a two-year deal for Dinny Corcoran, the Gypsies are ready to show off why are call themselves the Big Club.

Another highlight shows off several players returning to Dalymont, the likes of Keith Long from Bray Wanderers, Kevin Devaney- Galway United, JJ Luney- Saint Patrick’s Athletic and Karl Moore- Bray Wanderers.

The arrival of new faces in their new goalkeepers coach Chris Bennion from Drogheda United, another amazing feat performed by manager Long is the promotion of U-19 Jamie Hamilton, John Ross and Paddy Kirk to the Bohs first team.

The endorsement these players got was after the Bohemians U-19 has won the shield in the 2017 campaign over Saint Patrick’s Athletic, highlighting a succsful tenure in Phibsborough for Keith Long by raising the bar in his youth programs.

New arrivals include defensive back Darragh Leahy Coventry City, forward Ryan Swan- Cabinteely to reinforce the club with youth and experience to combine these two by becoming a competitive squad to this upcoming 2018.

If you state that this club Bosses and its manager have been a bit busy you are right, this to try to build a top of the line campaign and display a new game that can uplift this squad into the top spots.

The way this club has been reinforcing many areas of need in its initial eleven, makes them favorites to be fighting in the league top spots and maybe a run to the shield by the way its manager Keith Long is building an all-around armada.

As the goal for Keith Long will be to honor the moniker this club has as Ireland’s Number One, wills he, can he deliver a wondrous campaign this upcoming 2018, time will be the best judge.
