Bray Wanderers delivering a one of a kind upset at Carlisle Grounds

Bray Wanderers 2, Derry City 1
Carlisle Grounds, Bray

In 2016, the Bray Wanderers in the last stages of the League of Ireland started a winning streak and finishing near the European spots. For next campaign, the outlooks of these making a run to the top were endless until disaster hit this squad.

A campaign that sequels of last campaign setbacks deeply felt in Carlisle Grounds as the Seagulls new manager cannot make amends of leveling this squad campaign for the better until today at home.

Home is where the Seagulls need to start taking advantage of their field and supporters to try to make some last minute revival and possibly save themselves of the infamous relegation.

Still the Bray side has been able to win a couple of matches and tonight at home playing against a hot streaked and unstoppable Derry City playing a wondrous game of football, seeing their luck dwindle with an  inspired Ronan Coughlan.

As Ronan Coughlan delivered with a double in the 60 and 72 minutes to seal the deal and so far in the campaign, he has delivered the scores that have netted Bray his only two wins of the campaign, the first against the Shamrock Rovers.

Still do not count the Candystripes out of the game after the first score of Bray the response of the visitors immediately seen with a game-tying goal in the 63 minute by Nicky Low that after their score, the possibilities of them delivering a win away was within their reach.

However, in the 72 the moves for Bray manager paid off as substitute Dan McKenna gets a pass from Gabe McCabe that ended up on Ronan feet that taking advantage of his momentum he just pushed the ball for the go-ahead and what became the game winning goal.

Do not count the Derry boys out of this as they started their attack as in the 84 minute a near scare for the home team when City John Cofie with a play that beats Evan Moran and after his shoot is refused by Rhys Gorman to head it off the line.

Also Aaron McEneff in the 95 tried his luck for Derry but a well placed Evan Moran stopped the shoot and saving his sqaud of surrendering their elad with a game tying goal, at the edn the Bray defense step up and deliver.

After that, the local Bray squad playing a bit rough in defending their lead several of its players earned yellow cards with Hugh Douglas 79, Ronan Coughlan 85 and Sean Haney 90 and for Derry City Darren Cole in the 45.

At the end, Derry City got stunned and upset by a non-favorite Bray Wanderers squad that delivered in the clutch and got a valuable win that maybe can uplift their confidence and spirits in the remainder of this 2018 campaign.

For Bray Wanderers manager Graham Kelly in need of salvaging his campaign he and his Boys are in need of taking advantage of their condition of locals and deliver it with wins and points, still they do not need to depend solely on Ronan Coughlan.
