The race for Premiership’ manager of the year begins

With the curtain almost down and the last matches to play in the English Premier League, coming to a close of another contested edition. The time has come to select the man who made a whole lot of difference in their squads and deliver all sorts of headlines.

So far the candidates are six men looking forward to obtain the league all around recognition for their achievements with their teams either by their out of this world performances, salvation and mounting an unforgettable campaign.

The list headlines by Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez, Sean Dyche- Burnley, Pep Guardiola Manchester City, Crystal Palace Roy Hodgson, Brighton, Hove and Albion Chris Houghton and Liverpool Jürgen Klopp. Still in my opinion, I see one name not on the list and this is David Moyes.

For Rafael Benitez and his recently promoted Magpies, the Spaniard has performed under pressure and lacking the necessary players to hold a contest with his Geordies in the course of the campaign.

Still the club going in a see saw of being sold or not, manager Benitez in the transfers market getting just a few players, he still delivering his magic and voila the Toon Army is making a return to the ranks of Premiership.

So far Newcastle with the league winding down and a match left at home against Tottenham, by far Benitez can say mission accomplish of keeping the Magpies in the big circuit and now next campaign making a contender of them. Just like the good old days, I mean honorable mention!

Sean Dyche, one of the most coveted of managers in the Premiership, after making the impossible of delivering an amazing campaign in Turf Moor with his Clarets not only he put them above tenth place but is to guarantee his side a possible European spot.

I mean a squad prone for relegation per the experts before the start of the campaign and not so notable transfer market acquisitions but that did not matter in the eyes and mind of Dyche. He and his Clarets started the campaign with a scandalous win over the defending champions Chelsea.

Despite his struggles at times, Sean Dyche and his Clarets prevailed and hence the results as the man not only proved everyone wrong in Premiership and football circles- with his actions that speak louder than words.

I must say this should be the manager of the year, as the man is been linked to big clubs as their next manager but hopefully he can stay and deliver another fairy tale in Premiership as the way Leicester City did.

What can I say about Pep Guardiola, the man that has won it all as a player and as a manager in his illustrious career and now with Manchester City has earned a couple of trophies, especially with the citizens fifth Barclays Cup.

With his Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now Man City, the man has the Midas touch and now his aims is to make the Sky Blues a respected entity in all of Europe by winning the elusive Champions League Cup in its next edition.

As his Citizens were a force not to be reckon with and with many of his players showing off their might and strengths in the field, no wonder this squad earned a total of 94 points and maybe end with 97 if they win on their last match of the campaign against Brighton.

He is the leader of this group to net this title but do not count his competition out.

The savior of Seelhurst Roy Hodgson, the man that came to the rescue of the low flying Eagles of Crystal Place after this squad was prone to relegation after a failed short-lived tenure by his predecessor in South London.

Despite having a campaign of many inconsistencies and not seeing, the light and at times the promise of permanency winking at him and his Glaziers, finally the day came that his boys delivered the unthinkable of seeing another campaign in Premiership.

Crystal Palace will finish in a whooping eleventh place tied with Newcastle United in points but the Magpies goal differentials make the difference and four points within ninth place held by the Foxes of Leicester City.

Nothing out of this world but the veteran of many battles and former England national team manager will state proudly of his mission in these parts of London Town consummated, honor to honor it deserves.

For the lad of the Emerald Isle not only sealing the promotion of his squad in its first year but with a lot of struggles characteristic of a recently promoted squad, he and his Boys came through and overcome the odds to their return.

After sealing, their deal last weekend against Manchester United at home and with a sole goal and his defensive backfield stepping up, this squad is prone for much higher positions in the next campaign.

To finish the list is Liverpool’s top rated man in its helm, Jürgen Klopp looking forward to deliver his firsts major trophy to the halls of Anfield in the long eared Champions League trophy and after eliminating Manchester City in this competition.

Now the man is set to finish with his Reds in the top four and see a repeat performance in Champions and with a player or two, maybe his Merseyside Boys can aspire to the league shield and many more.

The German ha really turn things around in Anfield and coming as an all-around favorite to win the league next year with one of the most lethal of attacks in his trio of Salah, Mane and Firmnho as well reviving the skills in several poolers of the likes of Louvren and other.

Another favorite to take it all is Klopp, especially if delivers the glories of Champions League back to England and the Kop.

To conclude who is your favorite to take it all, I already voted in Barclays Premier League site, tough decision for the league officials as each of these chaps deserves the honors after their one of kind feats with their respective squads.
