The start of the week recaps in the League of Ireland

A famed tabloid in Ireland states in its column about the hectic and annoying schedule the SSE has instituted in this campaign and its players suffering the consequences. Still there are some squads not willing to surrender an inch of what is recently a contested race to the top.

Before it was three squads and now is between the league archrivals Dundalk FC and  Cork City as these later ones being the defending champions but at times showing a bit if a championship hangover in some of its matches.

So far, the Lilywhites of Stephen Kenny are recuperating their rightful spot at the top of the league overall table with a slim lead of two mingy points, still the Town Boys are firm in their objective and consistency in their positive streak.

With some squads facing some serious injuries after the wear and tear of these two days of rest from some of the teams, as some players are felling the strain of the calendar and seen in their way of being a total absence from their squads initial elevens.

In Markets Filed in Limerick, the local Super Blues did not deliver a miracle against John Caulfield and his high-spirited Cork City Boys looking forward to a win and stay within the toes of league leaders Dundalk FC.
