The Championship final is set between Fulham and Aston Villa

Three teams in the EFL Championship make the grade of promotion to the ranks of Premiership, so far two squads netting their direct passes in Wolverhampton as this edition champions and Cardiff City as its runner up.

With this edition of the EFL Championship, the four finalists with Derby County, Fullham, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, looking forward to seize the last spot and the glories.

We have a two of its finalists in the two legs playoffs celebrated recently between Fulham vs Derby County and Aston Villa Middlesbrough, as the Cottagers and Villains delivering serious blows to their foes, the final is set at Wembley.

In Fulham and Derby County, once again the Rams left in the edge and after being so close once again, the Cottagers at home deliver the final blow to Gary Rowett side to a 2-0 win at Craven’s Cottage. As the second leg became the decisive one between these two squads with a final 2-1 aggregate and the Whites advancing to the grand finale.

In the other playoffs between Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, here these two former EPL squads those in last campaign suffer the consequences of relegation, the stage was set to start their fight to the promise land.

As the Villains with just a lone goal in both legs these disposed of the Boro Boys at home and at home their defense prevail and held the visiting Smoggies to a grand win and now book a pass to the grand finale.

Oh yes with one final ticket in play and two hungry contenders for it, we will have a clash of giants looking forward to their return to the grand circuit of Premiership and looking forward to it in the so-called cathedral of football Wembley Stadium.

A mano a mano match between Slaviša Jokanović the Serbian manager of the Cottagers and the Claret & Blue Army manager Steve Bruce, we will have a one of kind match between these two squads looking to nab all the headliners.

As the tale of the tape shows up an even matchup between these two squads, despite the Cottagers  advantage and with one of the most coveted players in Ryan Sessegnon the seventeen year old in the orbit of many of Premiership clubs.

So far, this man CV comes loaded with PFA Young Player of the year as well capping the Championship Player of the Year along with 16 goals scored; no wonder Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is obsessed of netting the lad to White Hart Lane.

As experience versus a less knowledgeable man in these type of affairs in Steve Bruce after netting a promotion to Hull City and now looking forward to another with the Villa Boys.

Come Saturday may 26 the heat is on for both Fulham and Aston Villa looking forward to either squad imminent return to Premiership, this time one of my predictions will be an even match with no favorites.
