
Despite wins for Cork City, the defending champions are trailing the Lilywhites by two points as well a couple of goal routs at RSC in Waterford and Richmond Park in Dublin with a hot Pats delivering a raucous win over Derry City.

In Turner’s Cross the Rebel Army delivered mayhem of goals to a decimated Bray Wanderers and netting a clean sheet with goals from Jimmy Keohane 4, Sean McLoughlin 44, Graham Cummins 64 and Gerry Buckley 75.

In Phibsborough the local Bohemians momentum was stopped cold and for the Dundalk keeper Gary Rodgers netting a clean sheet away was an all-around achievement he and his Town mates delivered with a 2-0 win.
For the visiting Lilywhites scoring, Patrick Hoban 4 and Sean Hoare 83 were enough to catapult and assure for Stephen Kenny and company a two point lead atop the league table.
Bohemians 0, Dundalk 2
In the Saturday match scheduled at the Showgrounds’ the battle of the Rovers where the locals Sligo and visiting Shamrock Rovers were held scoreless to a dull match without any goals.
