Back to the old winning ways for Arsenal in this New Year’s

Arsenal 4, Fulham 0
Emirates Stadium, London

Forget the league shield but the aim for these Gunners is to contend in this edition of Premiership for a notable finish in the top four spots and today these started in the first day of this 2019 with the right foot.

As the negatives of 2018 put behind for the Gunners Boss, looking forward to a decorous run in this second half, and making one of its goals to finish in the end and with a Champions league position.

Today in a sold out Emirates Stadium, Arsenal had its hands full against a squad that in spite of its troubles of keeping pace with the rest of the pack, as the visiting Cottagers of Fulham were not to be a walk in the park.

With both London based squads playing in a not so spectacular of headlined filled Derby, still the visiting Cottagers were not to be a walk in the park as for the side managed by Claudio Rainieri looking forward to start with a win.

Still this match was too belonged all afternoon to an inspired and defiant Arsenal looking forward to net the win and not endure an upset from a fighting but a squad lacking more drive and initiative that would claim the win.

Starting with the locals setting the tone early in the match and arrivals that incomed Fulham’s goalkeeper Sergio Rico taking all sorts of pressure from the Gunners but in the end these succumbed to the locals push and creativity on its offensive drives.

As the first play when Sead Kolasinac passing to Alex Iwobi setting the ball to an open and well placed Granit Xhaka in the 25’ minute to start the ball for the Gunners that in the end these never surrendered the lead.

Today these Gunners came with an all-around inspiration, playing the football that manager Emery is looking forward to institute in these parts of London Town, and by far his plan is working wonders.

The remainder scores came in the second half with Alexandre Lacazette scoring in the 55’ minute when Sead Kolasinac putting the score at 2-0 and in total control for the Gunners looking rapidly in command of this match.

However, do not put the Cottagers efforts and push away, with their star player Ryan Sessegnon in two occasions had a clear path to score he missed dearly as well in other tries his teammates failed miserably until that lone score.

The perseverance of Ryan Sessegnon made it a contest when he passed to a wide-open and opportune Abubakar Kamara in the 69’ minute to come close in the socre to 2-1 and exposing the local’s defense.

As the local Gunners tries going futile in the course of the game, still in this intent Aaron Ramsey taking a shoot that hit the corner of the post he put the ball behind to give the Gunners some breathing room in the  79’ minute.

To conclude the goal fest Arsenal defender Sokratis in the 83’ minute passed to a wide-open Pierre- Emerick Aubemeyang to conclude a good performance and a making their resolutions of this New Year, showing off their might.

In addition of the Gunners display, in the end the men of the match could been Fulham’s keeper Sergio Rico preventing his side to lose with a rout and stepping up his defensive game; however this match belonged to these hard pushing Gunners.

Happy New Year 2019 to all my readers!
