Leicester City on the plus and looking towards the top

Everton 0, Leicester City 1
Goodison Park, Liverpool

For manager Claude Puel a win on the first day of these 2019 marks how the outlook for Leicester City is looking very promising for his Foxes after netting in what seems another valuable win on the road at always-difficult Goodison Park.

So far, in their last matches the Foxes have netted two important back-to-back wins over the league so called giants Chelsea and Manchester City, unfortunately this weekend their streak cut short by a struggling Cardiff City.

As they state that there is no such thing than an easy foe, this is a lesson well learned by these Foxes suddenly turned into a competitive squad that lately is playing one amazing football and delivering notable victories.

So far for City playing on the road and at home, these can sure display their new style of football put on by manager Puel and looking forward to continue their ascent on the overall table currently on seventh spot.

In addition, of this club not intimidated by anyone and after their recent set of accomplishments, this squad confidence is seeing an all-around boost in their game and character as the way their game displayed and won by just a single goal.

Still this loss exposes a certain crisis the Merseyside club is not enjoying dearly as the tally in five games these have netted their fourth loss and getting the likes of manager Marco Silva into a state of deep concerns.

As the tale of the tape shows how the local Toffees not on target all afternoon long and a near goal with Lucas Digne’ shoot was impeded by the bar as the locals in seventeen tries these just accounted for only two at target.

In the case of the visiting Blues managing eight shoots and four on target, these just needed a single goal and this came from Jamie Vardy seventh goal of the campaign in the 58’ minute thanks to an assist from Ricardo Pereira.

As the stats marked a total posse son in favor of the School of Science, in the end these came short of many objectives and their offensive game just lacking the final addition as well an ambitious drive to seal this one their favor.

As a heavily favored Everton side came to this match and with the home field advantage, a win for sure would uplift this club all around assurance and after their spending frenzy, once again in the summer to build up a contender.

Once again, these fell short in spite of having an armada in their initial eleven, not even Richardlison, Sigurdsoon, Gueye, Walcott and Calvert- Lewin could to break the defensive deadlock put in by the visiting Leicester City Boys.

As defense wins games, today these Leicester City side is playing one serious and ambitious game of football with 31 points earned and in contention to move up with Manchester United on sixth place with 35 points.

Happy New Year 2019!
